Theres no question about Norm should be dealt during the season dont even wait til the deadline hes not useful anymore...
His team defense is very average nowadays and his ability to get buckets is so incosistent not worth keeping him around..

Our starters had problems with Miami's third stringers. I wouldn't be surprised if we ended up 9th or 10th.
I dont count pre season for anything because even ur starters are only going at 50%
But alot of things about this game makes me think theyre not far away from 9th place...Van Vleet was bad OG still cant score,Siakam still goes passive in the 2nd half and doesnt demand the rock and the defense is no longer elite....
This team was a mediocre offense and has gotten worse and the defense is no longer top 3 in the league.
Tonight was the hardest I seen Siakam work on defence in two years but dude doesn’t have the fitness to play energetically on both ends. Dude ran out of gas in the second half. And he needs to SLOW DOWN. And tired or not, he needs to demand the ball when nobody else can get it going. That stretch where we went cold in the 3rd he completely disappeared. Also zero fourth quarter points. No amount of skill development and added strength will benefit him in actually becoming a number one option if he doesn’t have a number one option mentality. That playmaking shyt he was doing in the first half was great but in the second half when your team needs you bro you have to go get the fukking ball.
Lowry too old to carry us, that much is clear.
OG is a role player who sometimes has a big game. However he was awful tonight. Just really bad. His defence wasn’t even that great. Ingram killed him. The difference in the second half was SVG started running pnr to get Siakam off Ingram cuz Siakam for once was shutting down a star player cuz of his length. OG on the other hand got torched repeatedly. It was just very bad all around.
As for FVV, can we trade this motherfukker ASAP PLEASE??? He’s too small and slow to be a consistent core piece. He’s a fourth option at best.
Baynes struggles to recover when you put him in pnr. Better than Gasol but still pretty ass. Our D fell apart because we started sending help in the paint after pnr killed us first half, leading to three after three. Granted, the Pelicans got super hot in the third but our defence didn’t help.
Powell needs to be traded. Every year he plays well for a month and fools people into believing he’s something he’s not. Dude ain’t even in shape. Gtfoh.
Nurse is overrated as a coach. It’s easy to have a top defence when everyone is a great defender but now you don’t have that and our scheme had so many holes exploited tonight. And his rotations, particularly transitioning from the third to fourth quarter, continue to be (and have always been) ass.
Boucher disappeared second half. Matt Thomas was not good on D. Whole team looked disorganized. There’s a lot to be concerned about.
As for the second half, there was no need to start doubling Zion so much. Completely destroyed our D.

There's a few contenders (and some on the cusp) where adding Lowry puts them over the top
Yeah, if we don’t trade for Harden then you gotta move Lowry to a contender...he deserves it. Our team is going nowhere this year and moving him would open up space to see if our “core” can do something. Lowry’s personality is so strong I think it gets in the way of other guys stepping forward and developing.

By do right by him I mean let him know he's going to be traded if you intend to trade him and feel out which teams he prefers.
If he's still competitive, the interest will be mutual between him and said team. Otherwise why trade him when he can just ride out the rest of the season?
