I do like most of these movies but I feel like they are really overrated.

Crash is not overrated. Yes, it did win Best Picture but its the #1 fukk This Movie at least in terms of forumtalk. If anything its the most underrated movie. Same with Driving Miss Daisy.

Movies many people love if they see them at 13-19 years old only to figure out later they aren't that good.

I can get down with some of those picks. Dumb and dumber no. The wrestler no. Always felt raging bull is a tad overrated.

Its a mix of many things.

I think its a straight up bad movie. When it came out I was in a rather arty school and hung out with alot of arty people, all in the 16-20 year age range, that would become painters, graphic designers, musicians etc. later in life and this movie collectively blew their minds and they would call it cinematic masterpiece. While it didn't become a smash hit or anything it became cult classic since Wes Anderson has made new fans with his newer movies so people keep bringing it up.
