Which one of those 10 are you going with breh
1. Die Hard
2. Back To The Future
3. The Karate Kid
4. Red Dawn
5. Star Wars Episode 5: The Empire Strikes Back
6. Ghost Busters
7. Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom
8. Firefox
9. Top Gun
10. Caddyshack

It's hard to narrow it down to a top 10.
Ferris Beuler's Day Off and The Cannonball Run also were "stupid" but definitive 80's comedies, but so was CaddyShack and Gremlins.

Yea I'm thinking of replacing Goonies with Trading Places. Scarface only made the list cause of the impact it had on the culture and the amount of times I watched it growing up. I'm gonna watch Big Trouble again tonight to make sure it deserves that spot. Also gonna watch Paris, Texas since so many people listed it and Do The Right Thing.

I will admit Lean On Me is a great film. I didn't see it until BET aired it though so I may need to watch the unedited version.

Nah you keep big trouble on. A lot of stuff would've made my list but it came down to how I felt last night so what's there is what's there.

Yes and rather than telling you straight up that you're wrong I want your opinion as to why you think you're right
Stoey doesnt make any fukking sense. Story picks up where ash is with a new girl in a cabin. They dont tell us how he left the first cabin, and it doesn't tell us who this new girl is and why he gae her hos last girlfriends necklace :what: To top it off it doesnt tell us how the fukking tape recorder gets to this new cabin. Also why in the fukk does he press play on the recorder WHEN HE KNOWS THAT INCANTATION CAUSES THE ZOMBIES TO COME! shyt makes NO SENSE

It's a lose remake of the first one since they lost the rights to the first movie, which is why his new girl is there and his friends aren't. A lot of legal shyt went down between making the first one and other things Sam wanted to make so when he came back to it, shyt wasn't all good. So he never left anywhere because it's basically a do over

This shyt cray. There are some titles that were my favorites DURING the 80s, then there are other favorites from the 80s that you love once you got older.

During the 80s, in no order

1. Rocky IV
2. Rambo 2
3. Rocky III
4. Not Quite Human
5. Howard the Duck
6. Demons
7. Nightmare on Elm Street
8. Conan the Barbarian
9. Gremlins
10. Honey I Shrunk the Kids

Fukk this shyt though, if I cut it off at 10 I'm leaving tons others

11. Back to the Future
12. Spaceballs
13. Big Trouble in Little China
14. Revenge of the Nerds
15. Top Gun
16. Roadhouse
17. Little Monsters
18, ET
19. Ghoulies 2
20. From Beyond
21. Ernest Goes to Camp
22. Critters
list keeps going

A list from the 80s is even harder to do because some movie from the 80s don't resonate when you're a kid. As you get older, then there's ton of other 80s titles that are :blessed: So yeah, I dunno if I can invest a whole week just to narrow down a list. :mjcry:

:patrice: When's the last time you watched an Ernest flick?
Can't remember. I used to watch Ernest Scared Stupid a lot. I haven't seen Ernest mentioned in The Film Room in a minute though. He was eating good during the 80's/90's.

:snoop:I didn't even realize he does the voice for slinky the dog in Toy Story and the Carni guy in The Simpsons.

Passed away right after toy story 2. Loved him in the Beverly hillbillies movie too

That said. Ain't no Ernest flick making my list lol. I can't be 6 again. I tried watching Ernest goes to jail last year and could barely make it. Scared stupid still works for me but not enough for a 90s list
