So, one has to be 'religious' to study 'religion'? That's retarded. Like a criminal can't study Law. There's not a damned thing wrong with understanding meanings of words/phrases. You're trying too hard and end-up just sounding butthurt.

"Studying" religion... :russ: might as well smoke some meth and put some holes in your brain

Since when are atheists "represented" by anyone? i'm atheist and no one "represents" me.

Not that it's a valid argument...
but I believe the argument and the point of the thread is...

occasionally atheist pretend that religion is The main problem with the world and the #1 cause of violence.
Atheist also love to generalize religious people into one big group and make judgements about their intellect, morality, judgment, etc - making statements in regards to independent thinking, logical thinking, etc.

So the point is, that the same can be done to Atheist due to the horrible examples throughout history. (and horrible examples on message boards)

Also, Jim Jones was atheist, I believe. He wanted to not only be atheist, but to also take people from religion to organize for communist causes and for his personal gain. He only claimed religion to get US tax credits.

links to allegation. Because at this stage in the game common knowledge is that he ran a church. I need more evidence to back up this claim. Or you could be content spreading false knowledge.

lol, whatever you say. However, the fact that you confuse facts with 'game common knowledge' is typical.

Maybe you should watch videos, read articles, or read interviews.

NTM, The FBI, CIA, and maddddd other organizations have video recordings of him admitting that he was an atheist.

Religion wasn't even his main point of developing the cult, and wasn't the focus of his statements.. he was all about politics and violating group members rights.

And he liked to solicit men for sex as well. But unlike you all, he wasn't open about his support of fakit sh1t.. he said he only had sex to connect with male members spiritually or something.

He wanted the ultimate communist community, not the best community to worship God. He was not religious at all, he participated in gay sh1t, he was communist, he was crazy. I wonder what his screen name on here what have been.

You yourself posted a quote where he explicitly identified as an agnostic (something that doesn't contradict nonbelief in a loving God... you can disbelieve any in any number of particular deities and still be an agnostic,) so to be fair, calling him an atheist is not accurate.

Maher: —and— and that’s— I think that’s essential, because an awful lot of these little Christian people around, too. You know, they vote wrong all the time, and all this stuff, but fundamentally, they’ve— they— they’ve got some good ideas about principles, and if we could just reach them, and I think you’re doing it right, I think that’s the only way to reach them, is from— from— from positions where they— where they can hear it, instead of demanding that they listen to us on the street and—

Jones: Well, thank you for the feedback, ‘cause, I must say, I felt somewhat hypocritical for the last years as I became uh, an atheist, uh, I have become uh, you— you feel uh, tainted, uh, by being in the church situation. But of course, everyone knows where I’m at. My bishop knows that I’m an atheist. He— He knows that I— I— I recognize only love, when I say— I’ll say, "God is Love"— well, you heard my preaching. You know where I’m at.

Ok, well, if that's from the same interview as the agnostic + paranormal quote you posted earlier, which it appears to be, then I'm not sure the question is really settled either way, especially considering the semantic confusion that surrounds the use of those two terms in common usage.
