If the Braves win more than 55 games this season they should consider the season a success.
Edit: Haven't heard one yet, But could someone give me a real reason
for why the Braves are moving to Suntrust Park?
I'm conflicted. The Braves claim that the City of Atlanta didn't want to pony up the $200 plus million to upgrade & renovate the stadium & surrounding areas (the area around Turner Field is the hood). The City wanted to put money up but at that same time the Falcons stadium issue was also going on and MayorReed put his energy into supporting that new stadium. Cobb County came through with a sweetheart deal and gave the Braves literally everything they wanted plus tax breaks. The City would not & could not compete with that Cobb offer so the Braves left. Looking back at I see why they did it...their reasoning was that they're "closer" to their "fans" , but I hate it, I hate they're leaving the city, even tho they're only gonna be 9 miles away from Turner Field now
Hopefully this will get Freddie G fired.
Multiple reports from Virginia say Atlanta Braves left fielder Hector Olivera has been arrested for alleged involvment in a domestic dispute.
Reports say a female called 911 early Wednesday from the team hotel to report an assault. ABC7 reported the female victim had bruises and was transported to Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington, Va.
Olivera was at a Ritz-Carlton and was taken into custody. He has not been charged.
Braves officials declined to comment.
