OT, but will there be any developments(retail; apartments) around the new stadium? If so, will those developments be thriving long term?

:mjlol: That new stadium may be one of the dumbest things a municipality has ever done. They literally put that new shyt at probably one of the most congested stretches of road in the country and they think it's gonna be successful. My prediction is in 10-20 years that part of Cobb will be be what Summerhill is now. Ain't nobody going to support the retail they building around STP cuz ain't nobody gonna be able to get there on time. Congrats Cobb. You got the government you deserve

From what I've heard, the players love Snit. I'm all about getting away from the Bobby Cox lineage, but there's no argument Snitker was a major part of the strong play down the stretch. Interview Snit, outside candidates, a few inside guys (Perez, Pendleton, Mac, Porter), and go from there.

The new stadium is going to be amazing. I live 5 mins from the new stadium and I've seen it being built from the ground up and it's going to have the latest restaurants, amenities, residences (they've already built one The Battery) etc. shyt's gonna be nice can't lie

But the traffic like @JamilALAmin said is gonna be WOAT. They are literally scrambling trying to expand the surface roads like Spring Rd and major roads like Cobb Pkwy to make room for the additional traffic that that area is gonna see not to mention that there is additional highways being built (The Northwest Corridor). Cobb County also refused to expand MARTA bus services or introduce light rail so it will not be easy to get to the game if you don't have a car. So yes there will be significant traffic issues but the new stadium is in a part of town that was already starting to boom prior to the Braves coming up there...it's about 10 miles north from Turner Field but it's like being in a different city

Brehs it's over, word to @Big Boss :wow:

Turner Field's chapter is done, I :mjcry: driving on 20 heading to the East side and seeing the stadium lit up for a Braves game for the last time

Anyway season is over, Braves finished 12-2 down the stretch and have a huge decision to make on the manager. It's down to Snit or Bud Black (OG Ron Washington is actually interviewing here today...hope he don't get lost on Metropolitan :lolbron:)

What y'all think? Who do y'all wanna see get it? Who should we target in FA this offseason? Let it be known brehs

Lourdes Gurriel
Jose Bautista and Edwin Encarnacion blue jays can't sign em both
Aroldis Chapman

just to name a few

Dear Mr. Toilet, I'm the Snit :blessed:

Brian Snitker is an interim manager no more. He’s the Braves’ new full-time manager, chosen over a field of candidates that included veteran managers Bud Black and Ron Washington and three members of the Braves coaching staff.

After receiving overwhelming support from Braves players, Snitker, who’ll be 61 next week, got the job, signing a one-year contract with a club option for 2018. Snitker had to pull his car over to the side of highway near Macon, Ga., so excited was he when Braves executives John Hart and John Coppolella called to give him the news.

“It’s pretty cool; I feel really good about things,” said Snitker, who was headed to the Braves’ organizational meetings near Orlando when he got the call, not certain what role he’d have with the Braves for 2017 but hoping for manager.

Assured by the Johns — general manager Coppolella and president of baseball operations Hart — that he was their guy, Snitker’s most-memorable year had reached another new high, and so had a 40-year professional career with the Braves that’s included work as minor league player, coach and manager, major league coach, interim manager, and now this.

“Bobby (Cox) was behind me about 20 minutes, so we were talking back and forth on the drive,” Snitker said of his mentor and old boss, the iconic former Braves manager. “He was here, Walk (Braves special assistant Greg Walker) was here when I got here, and my son came over. So I had three of my best friends, and went out and had a nice dinner.”

He wasn’t the only one celebrating the hire.

“Really happy to hear that Snit is coming back,” center fielder Ender Inciarte said in a text Tuesday. “He deserves this opportunity and we are all excited to play for him!”
