Santana & Ortiz not having a feud was one of the biggest disappointments of 2023. They had real life beef, a ready-made storyline, and they had reached a point where they were willing to work with each other. The hard work was already done, all Tony Khan had to was turn on the cameras. Instead, what did we get? A face-off on Dynamite & a match on the show that nobody watches.

shyt was odd as hell...could've easily been a blood feud going into a ppv and you take that momentum and swing it into two new singles stars....dropped the bag like crazy...

Okay now see this shows how Tony don’t care about long term storytelling OR the AEW “of old.” Realistically if you’ve been following AEW since the beginning, this should be a big deal, especially with all they’ve been through together.

Shoot wise, Ortiz is good with just getting a check, but Santana wants to branch out and actually do shyt? Because neither matters in today’s AEW at this point. WWE got a whole ass LWO going on, even including a Luchador whom Khan would otherwise throw on a random ass Rampage occasionally. Nobody telling his tone def ass that there’s money targeting to the Latino community in some capacity?
