What make you think we hold on to him?(Jeremy in the waiting) I heard y'all laid the plan out for him? Y'all really put something on his mind tho.
Malzahn probably told him he could do whatever Nick Marshall is doing now in his system. Which is true. But, our '14 QB coming in looks great so far. Maybe he's added insurance, I don't know. If he's up for competition right after Jameis leaves, seems like FSU would be the place to go.

shyt, I had the feeling y'all would pull him, because of the system. Jimbo loves him tho, I wish he was 3 or 4 inches taller. We got jj cosentino and Treon this class and Deandre Johnson coming in 2015. Jimbo will find him a spot if he don't make it at QB.

DE McClain from Sandlewood has de-committed from the Noles.

Looks like Kain Daub will be going thru the same issues as Demarcus Walker did last spring.

If you think you're lonely now, ohhh girl...
247 Final Class Prediction:

Top Targets (11)

Five-star DE Lorenzo Carter – Norcross (Ga.)

Details: Carter has taken his time with the process and invested a great deal of time in evaluating his options. During his recruitment, schools such as Alabama, Florida, and most recently Georgia have been considered the favorites. He has taken official visits to Florida, Florida State, Georgia, and LSU.

Final Predictions:

Josh Newberg's Prediction: Georgia (75%) - In-state team wins out here. Florida State, Florida and LSU made a good run, but in the end he'll be a Dawg.

Chris Nee's Prediction Georgia (70%) - Georgia has had the lead for a while and I expect them to close this one out after hosting the final official visit. I've been told the in-state school is his parent's preference as well.

Previous Predictions:

Josh Newberg’s Prediction: Georgia (70%) - I've felt Carter was headed to Georgia for the last couple months. Florida State made up a lot of ground and I think they come in second for the Peach State prospect.

Chris Nee’s Prediction: Georgia (60%) – In the end, I think the home state team wins out for Carter. The final visit will help Georgia seal a victory in a race they have led for some time.

Five-star WR Malachi Dupre – New Orleans (La.) John Curtis

Details: Dupre has long been considered likely to stay in-state, but five officials over a little more than two weeks leading up to National Signing Day has led to some uneasiness for the Bayou Bengals. Dupre checked out Alabama, Florida State, LSU, Ole Miss, and UCLA.

Final Predictions:

J.N. Prediction: LSU (55%) - This is a close race between LSU and FSU. UCLA got the final visit, but I see him staying in the south and staying in-state, signing with LSU.

C.N. Prediction: LSU (60%) - Despite how good the visit at FSU went and his infatuation with quarterbackJameis Winston, I expect him to stay home and play for the Tigers.

Previous Predictions:

J.N. Prediction: Florida State (52%) - This is a really close battle. I'm picking Florida State to edge out LSU on Signing Day. Getting the entire Dupre family on campus for the official visit was huge for the 'Noles. In order to steal a kid from the hometown team, you must have the support of the entire family.

C.N. Prediction: LSU (51%) – Florida State has made a great charge for Dupre down the stretch, but he decides to stay in-state.

Five-star DE Chad Thomas – Miami (Fla.) Booker T. Washington

Details: Thomas is a long-time Miami commitment who decided to take official visits to Alabama and Florida State over the two weekends leading up to National Signing Day.

Final Predictions:

J.N. Prediction: Miami (95%) - Thomas has been solid to Miami for months and I don't see that changing on Signing Day.

C.N. Prediction: Miami (90%) - Thomas says he is solid. His coach expects him to sign with Miami. Hometown team and academic/musical offerings win out with the multi-talented defensive end.

Previous Predictions:

J.N. Prediction: Miami (89%) - Not having the family on the visit was telling. I believe that if he was going to flip to Florida State, Thomas would have brought his parents along last weekend on his official visit to Tallahassee.

C.N. Prediction: Miami (70%) – ‘Canes retain a very important commitment. Early playing time combined with academic offerings in his desired major lead to him sticking with the local team.

Four-star DL Malik McDowell – Detroit (Mich.) Southfield

Details: Florida State has made a strong January run at McDowell. The Seminoles have thrust themselves into the conversation with long-time contenders such as Michigan, Michigan State, and Ohio State. The prospect and his family have differing opinions, which they have been vocal about, when it comes to where he should spend his college career.

Final Predictions:

J.N. Prediction: Florida State (65%) - With the family wanting him out of state, I think it's FSU. I see FSU fending off Ohio State, who's made a late run on McDowell and got him in on a final visit.

C.N. Prediction: Florida State (51%) - I think it is pretty clear that McDowell prefers Michigan State to all other options. His parents are not in agreement with him though. As long as distance isn't an issue, I think he picks the alternative and heads to the National Champions. I believe all four options are legitimately still in play though and that no decision has been reached.

Previous Predictions:

J.N. Prediction: Florida State (58%) - McDowell's father has long been known to be an Florida State fan. Getting his mom on campus for the official visit is what turned this recruitment. the 'Noles needed to win mom over in order to pull McDowell out of Michigan and they did that last weekend.

C.N. Prediction: Michigan State (60%) – McDowell decides to stay home for college and play for the Rose Bowl Champions.

Four-star WR Ermon Lane – Homestead (Fla.)

Details: The former Florida commitment took just one official visit, to Florida State. He hasn’t mentioned interest or consideration of any other schools.

Final Predictions:

J.N. Prediction: Florida State (97%) - Lane has been Florida State bound for the last 4 or 5 weeks. His only official visit is to Florida State and it will come just days before Signing Day.

C.N. Prediction: Florida State (99%) – Been a done deal since Dalvin Cook committed.

Previous Predictions:

Four-star OT Roderick Johnson - Florissant (Mo.) Hazelwood Central

Details: A long-time lean to the Seminoles, the only other school in the picture with Johnson is Ohio State.

Final Predictions:

J.N. Prediction: Florida State (90%) - The 'Noles have been the only team in the picture for months now. It's a bit surprising he didn't announce earlier. I still have a good feeling it will be Florida State on Signing Day.

C.N. Prediction: Florida State (99%) – Long-time lean wanted his day.

Previous Predictions:

J.N. Prediction: Florida State (90%) - The 'Noles have been the only team in the picture for months now. It's a bit surprising he didn't announce earlier. I still have a good feeling it will be Florida State on Signing Day.

C.N. Prediction: Florida State (98%) – Long-time lean wanted his day.

Four-star DT Derrick Nnadi – Virginia Beach (Va.) Ocean Lakes

Details: Nnadi has considered Florida State, Ohio State, Penn State, Virginia, and Virginia Tech. The top two are considered Florida State and Virginia Tech.

Final Predictions:

J.N. Prediction: Florida State (80%) - I got Florida State over Virginia Tech. Early playing time is available and Nnadi has a very good relationship with FSU defensive tackles coach Odell Haggins.

C.N. Prediction: Florida State (75%) - All of the feedback I have gotten since Florida State's in-home visit last week is that he gave the Seminoles a pledge at that time.

Previous Predictions:

J.N. Prediction: Florida State (80%) - I got Florida State over Virginia Tech. Early playing time is available and Nnadi has a very good relationship with FSU defensive tackles coach Odell Haggins.

C.N. Prediction: Florida State (60%) – FSU wins a tight battle upsetting the local school. Odell Haggins has done a great job recruiting him and Timmy Jernigan's success was a selling point.

If you think you're lonely now, ohhh girl...
Four-star DB J.C. Jackson – Immokalee (Fla.)

Details: Jackson is a former Florida State commitment who is committed to Florida at this time. Down the stretch, he has heavily considered the three in-state schools – Florida, Florida State, and Miami. An official visit to Florida State never occurred.

Final Predictions:

J.N. Prediction: Florida (75%) - Jackson's unofficial visit to Florida on Saturday sealed it for me. Jackson will stick with his commitment and sign with Florida.

C.N. Prediction: Florida (60%) - Florida State is out of this one with the official visit never happening last weekend. Miami could potentially flip Jackson, but I think he sticks with the Gators.

Previous Predictions:

J.N. Prediction: Florida State (51%) - This prediction hinges on whether or not J.C Jackson takes his official visit to Florida State this weekend. As of Monday evening, I'm hearing the visit is on. If he makes the visit, he signs with FSU.

C.N. Prediction: Florida State (51%) – The percentage would be higher if the visit was 100% locked in. I believe that if he visits this weekend, he signs with FSU.

Four-star ATH Javon Harrison – Lakeland (Fla.) Kathleen

Details: A long-time Virginia Tech commitment who considered Florida and Florida State down the stretch. The Seminoles are interested in him as a wide receiver.

Final Predictions:

J.N. Prediction: Florida State (70%) - The opportunity to play close to home is too much to turn down for Harrison. I predict he flips from Virginia Tech to Florida State on Signing Day.

C.N. Prediction: Florida State (65%) - Harrison is a tough kid to read, but indications are that Florida State made major progress with him over the past three weeks. His final coaching visit was with the Seminoles. Distance and weather could both play a factor with him.

Previous Predictions:

J.N. Prediction: Virginia Tech (60%) - Florida State went from having no contact with Harrison just three months ago to possibly flipping the four-star wide receiver from a team he's been committed to for well over a year. I see the 'Noles coming up just short on Signing Day.

C.N. Prediction: Florida State (55%) – Tough kid to read, but I believe Harrison opts to stay closer to home and join FSU’s impressive wide receiver haul.

Four-star OT Derrick Kelly – Havana (Fla.) East Gadsden

Details: Kelly, a former Kentucky commitment, drew a great deal of major interest over the final months of the process. He took official visits to Florida, South Florida, and LSU. He is also considering Florida State, Georgia, and South Carolina. His main focus is Florida and LSU, but if the Seminoles have room for him they will be a major player.

Final Predictions:

J.N. Prediction: LSU (51%) - I have LSU landing -- unless FSU comes through with an offer in the next 48 hours. Right now FSU hasn't given him the word, so I'm going with LSU.

C.N. Prediction: FSU (51%) - No official offer yet. I think it comes through for him. If it does, I expect him to land at FSU. If it doesn't, I expect it to be LSU.

Previous Predictions:

J.N. Prediction: LSU (60%) - The Gators are making a late push for Kelly. I see them finishing second to the Tigers. Florida State would be in the mix, but they don't have room for Kelly as it stands right now.

C.N. Prediction: LSU (55%) – A victim of space at FSU. If the Seminoles had pushed harder throughout the final month, he’d likely be a Seminole. A last minute offer that he can commit to could make things interesting.

Three-star ATH Myles Autry – Norcross (Ga.)

Details: Autry is a prospect Florida State has shown lukewarm interest in down the stretch. The Seminoles were in the picture along with Florida and Georgia Tech. His brother is a currently player for the Yellow Jackets. Georgia Tech may prove to be his only top option on Wednesday.

Final Predictions:

J.N. Prediction: Georgia Tech (55%) - The Gators have come on strong since they've decided to go to more of a spread offense. Autry has a brother that plays at Georgia Tech and that's where I see him going.

C.N. Prediction Georgia Tech (80%) - Was told that he has committed to the Georgia Tech coaching staff and made it clear that was where he planned to sign before his official visit to FSU.

Previous Predictions:

J.N. Prediction: Georgia Tech (55%) - The Gators have come on strong since they've decided to go to more of a spread offense. Autry has a brother that plays at Georgia Tech and that's where I see him going.

C.N. Prediction: Georgia Tech (60%) – Not convinced FSU is a real option for Autry at this point. He may potentially end up being an academic casualty regardless of who he ends up signing with.

Committed, but could flip (4)

Four-star QB/ATH Treon Harris – Miami (Fla.) Booker T. Washington

Details: Harris has been committed to Florida State since July. Harris recently decided to take official visits to Auburn, Florida, and Miami. The main contender for his services is considered Florida.

Final Predictions:

J.N. Prediction: Florida (60%) - When Florida commit Dalvin Cook needed to make a "final decision" everyone knew it meant he was flipping. I see a lot of similarities with Harris. I think he flips to Florida on Signing Day.

C.N. Prediction: Florida (55%) - I'm not wholeheartedly convinced he flips, but I think it makes sense if he wants to. He was singled out by new Florida offensive coordinator Kurt Roper after his hire. He says he will sign with the Seminoles, but I'm not convinced of that.

Previous Predictions:

J.N. Prediction: Florida State (75%) - According to several sources, Harris remains solid to FSU after visits to Florida and Auburn in consecutive weeks.

C.N. Prediction: Florida State (60%) – Harris honors his original pledge, despite interest in the Gators.

Four-star DL Dexter Wideman – Saluda (S.C.)

Details: Wideman made a surprising commitment to Florida State over the summer. He chose Florida State over South Carolina. The Gamecocks have never stopped pursuing. He took official visits to both schools in January.

Final Predictions:

J.N. Prediction: Florida State (52%) - This one will go down to Signing Day, but in the end I think Wideman sticks with his commitment and signs with Florida State over South Carolina.

C.N. Prediction: South Carolina (55%) - Sources at Saluda expect a flip to happen. Wideman has remained pretty quiet on the subject. He didn't make the Florida State staff feel as though he was locked in upon departure from his official visit.

Previous Predictions:

J.N. Prediction: Florida State (61%) - It looked like South Carolina was going to flip the Florida State commit. I thought a flip could come on his official visit to South Carolina. Florida State weathered that storm and will host Wideman on an official visit this weekend to solidify his commitment.

C.N. Prediction: South Carolina (55%) – A month ago a flip seemed almost certain. The fact it didn't happen yet is surprising, but in the end local pressure weighs too heavily on Wideman who opts to stay closer to home.

Four-star WDE Lorenzo Featherston - Greensboro (N.C.) Page

Details: Featherston made a surprising commitment to Florida State at the Under Armour Game. He took a late official visit to Miami which has led to him finding his way onto this portion of the list.

J.N. Prediction: FSU (90%) - I don't see any concern over Featherston's visit last weekend to Miami.

C.N. Prediction FSU (75%) - I have been given no indication of him looking to flip.

Previouse Predictions:

Previously considered a solid commitment.

Three-star ATH JoJo Robinson – Miami (Fla.) Northwestern

Details: A long-time Florida State commitment who slid down the board as better commitments came in for the Seminoles. With FSU’s interest faded, Robinson gave attention to Arkansas, Auburn, South Florida, and TCU.

Final Predictions:

J.N. Prediction: Arkansas (55%) - It will be either Arkansas or USF for Robinson. He will not sign with FSU.

C.N. Prediction Arkansas (75%) – Razorbacks have done a good job. FSU wasn’t a real option down the stretch.

Previous Predictions:

J.N. Prediction: Arkansas (55%) - It will be either Arkansas or USF for Robinson. He will not sign with FSU.

C.N. Prediction: Arkansas (75%) – Razorbacks have done a good job. FSU wasn’t a real option down the stretch.

Ok, we still have a chance. Uncle Odell, we need you and Jimbo to go ahead and seal the deal.
Although there are seven weeks left before the signing period closes, McDowell's planned unofficial visits are expected to commence shortly.
"They'll be jumping off soon," Greg McDowell said. "We plan on getting down to Florida State as soon as possible, and with Ohio State being a three-hour ride, we'll drive over and sit down."
ive-star defensive end Malik McDowell was the only class of 2014 prospect ranked in the Rivals250 who did not send in a letter of intent last week, and a resolution to his recruitment may not come for several weeks.
McDowell announced a commitment to Michigan State over finalists Florida State, Michigan and Ohio State on National Signing Day. He did not follow up that commitment by sending a letter of intent to East Lansing, however.

Malik McDowell is the only unsigned prospect in the class of 2014 Rivals250.
The choice of Michigan State was McDowell's, but his parents have been clear that they would like to see their son at one of his other finalists. Exploring those possibilities more in-depth is likely over the coming weeks according to his father, Greg McDowell.
"I know he is open to taking some unofficials to Florida State and Ohio State," Greg McDowell said. "We plan on doing some unofficials and see if he and his mom can resolve this. It's possible she'll be open to Michigan State as well, so we'll have to see."
Greg McDowell also noted that Michigan is still in the picture, and conversations are ongoing with all three schools finalists he did not pick on National Signing Day.
"One thing I have to say about those schools is after hearing everything, they were calling -- not on the recruiting aspect, but calling to see if the family was all right," Greg McDowell said.
While last Wednesday is known as National Signing Day, it was technically the opening of the signing period, and prospects have until the end of March to send in a letter of intent before that signing period closes.
Since Feb. 7, NCAA FBS member institutions have been in a Quiet Period, meaning they are not allowed to have face-to-face contact with prospects off-campus but can telephone and have on-campus contact with recruits. The Quiet Period stretches for the duration of the remaining signing period.
With additional research, additional conversations and the microscope of National Signing Day passing, Greg McDowell is optimistic a resolution can be reached and a letter of intent will be signed and delivered.
"We have until April 1 to decide, so hopefully within the coming weeks we will have something," he said.

Sucks for Shanks he's done pretty much nothing at FSU with his build he looked like he could be a potential trump card on the line.

@goatnole give me your opinion on who you think starts opposite Rashad after spring ball.
