If you think you're lonely now, ohhh girl...
Just got back from the game.:wow:

Take that ass whoopin' with you to the Big 10, Maryland. Jimbo made sure the dudes on Maryland will never forget the day they played the Seminoles of Florida State -- on some coach Yoast shyt from Remember the Titans.

Brehs, if the defense plays like they did today, Clemson is going to have their fukking hands full. I think we take them, to be frank.

NC on deck. :wow:

No pics breh? I see the student section was amped. Sounded loud the first 2.5 quarters

It was hot as hell today. I was trying to move as little as possible. lol. I got you when we play NCST, though. And it was amped at first, but once we started beating that ass they started dipping. I don't blame them. shyt, I'm as thorough as they come when it pertains to Seminole football and I was ready to dip. But, I stayed the whole game.

On another note, Isaiah Jones looks really good warming up.

Winston looks way more comfortable in this offense than EJ ever did. And Jimbo calls a more confident game with Winston than he ever did with EJ. Its beautiful to see when its running like this.
We've all trashed him but I'm willing to admit, EJ may have been the problem with us last year (hell previous yr as well). Granted he's given him a lot more leeway but the fact remains, why give a 1st yr starter more control to audible out of plays, not shorten the playbook when he makes a mistake, etc??? Begs to ask, could this team have accomplished more than just an ACC title/BCS victory if he wasn't redshirted and started all along? Sounds crazy......I do think the new set of coaches play a part but still

Random observations:

* Dan Hicks barely played against Maryland (understandably). Dude was so heated walking to the locker room after the game. :pachaha:

*Tyler Hunter left the field and went to locker room mid-way through the first quarter. I think him knowing he wasn't going to be getting out there for awhile was too much for him. I wish him a speedy recovery.

* I always felt we were going to beat Maryland comfortably, but it's the little things that that gives you insight into a team's psyche. When the team finished warming up and was headed back to the locker room for the final preparations, Jameis stopped in the middle of the tunnel and slapped hands with with every player on the team and was like, "let's go!" He didn't do that against Nevada or BCU. I knew we were going to open one up on them after that.

* Demarcus Walker is going to be very good when he learns how to tackle.

* What I've noticed about KW at RB is that he doesn't really hit the hole hard or at full speed. He doesn't run fearless. He sees if there's some day light and then he'll try to go once he gets to the second level. I think elite RB's hit the hole full speed, even if they aren't long distance burners. Darren Mcfadden dominated in college just by the sheer speed he'd get to the second level. Hopefully, as he gets more comfortable this changes.

* I do worry about Cam versus Beasley from CU. He has serious problems with speed rushers, and his bend isn't great.

* I think that was the best I ever saw MEJ look last Saturday. He looked explosive off the line. He beat his man consistently and pressured the QB. He was held all day.

* I have to give Jimbo his props for this year. He hasn't coached conservative at all, and that was one of my biggest issues with him. I mean, first play of the season dude motions to 4-wide versus Pitt with a RS freshman at the helm. He's letting these dudes play. If you have a Enzo Ferrari there's no reason to drive the shyt like it's a Kia Sonata. I think Winston's ability has emboldened him a lot too.

*The Clemson game will come down to if we can stop them on Jet sweeps and stuff like that. If they have success with their pet plays they'll start faking it and going over the top for big gains. We also HAVE to tackle well. No YAC!

What about the U? Be honest

I didn't see the GT game, as an 18 year old was straddling my penis after the FSU game. :banderas:. But, I know they moved the ball on y'all at times, right?

Look, I think Miami is better than they were last year, much better. I do not think they are an elite team (top 10 in country), though. They do have some guys on the outside (Hurns, Coley, Dorsett, et al) that worry me, because they've shown they can take the top off the defense repeatedly. I won't worry much about Duke until he actually does it against "somebody." Morris is okay. He's no Jameis Winston. :pachaha:. And I think your secondary will be untested by the time they play us. Miami does play well in Tally historically and even when they suck they play FSU tough (fukking Kirby Freeman :why:). I think we're too much for them this year, though. I don't think Jameis has even played his best ball, yet. I think it's still out there for him and he's going to keep getting better. He said the game is slowing down for him now.

I think Miami is a 3 loss team. I think we beat them, they lose one between UNC and VT, and if they make the ACC title game we beat them again, or they lose in the bowl game.

Brehs,

As Saturday approaches I have a weird mixture of confidence, anxiety, and nervousness whirling about. It's like a prolonged pregnancy scare.

I realize I'm totally unprepared mentally for a loss at this point in the season. I mean, when we had Drew Weatherford and the like at the helm I expected losses. So, they were easy for me to deal with. But, I feel different about this team. We need this win. I think it puts us over the hump and we can make a legit run at winning it all. It also would signify that we're really back, and not just a team that can win the ACC, but compete for it all nationally. Also, I know some people think this is a rebuilding year, and we'll be even better next year. But, football doesn't really work like that (see this years FL Gators). You have to capitalize on your opportunities while you have the chance in football.

Sometimes I feel like we're going to win, sometimes I think we're going to roll them, and every now and then I think they get us. :to:

@yeahisaidit where are you? I need you. Hold me?

With all that being said, I think we beat that ass Saturday night. :mjpls:
