Making socially conscious music is a choice which is completely irrelevant to societal issues. It's only entertainment and if you can make better music and actually help people in real life, why stop? There's different ways to go about things IMO it's a better move to be in the White House and rap about how it is, talk about the effects and use that position to tell kids to go to college and actually fund them. Than to get high and sell songs about how you can go to the White House too (although you don't know shut about it) if you work hard.
