They shoulda made Yakuza going ons storyline A and the reporter stuff storyline B. The reporting stuff is boring and shouldnt be the lead.
Shoulda made the white girl japanese i hate when shoes throw a white person in another culture and have them moving with that typical american white brashness especially with gangsters. Might finish it cause aint nothing else on hbo max i really wanna watch but this joint could be so much more entertaining if they told it from a different perspective.

I will watch season 2 tbh. It is good for what it is - a quick crime thriller that kept me entertained.
The best characters were katagiri, sato and miyamato though. I wish they had more screen time.

Better than The Last of Us so far.
I’m a fan of those other shows. But Tokyo Vice is just better. Better written. Better pacing. The acting is fantastic.

Agree, it stays pretty consistent too.
That’s how I felt about dude in Baby Driver, and he really didn't even need to do much in that movie either. I was too entranced by the show's world-building to give a shyt about his performance here though.
