C list rappers and below.

Of the entire list, Danny Brown has the best song:

:laff: c list rappers and below coming from someone who stans asap Rocky. And that's not even close to Danny browns best song. Like not even top 20 really. I can bet money you've never heard a KA album

that's the best you can come up with? a smiley and deflection?

a) if you can't see what makes ASAP Rocky great, you're not really a hip hop fan like that. Live.Love.ASAP is as hip hop as it gets.

b) if you think "Grown Up" isn't even close to Danny Brown's best song, you have tin ears. Aside from the obvious ducktale, it's the Danny Brown song with the most views on Youtube. with zero radio play. Which pretty much tells me that the song latched on by some word of mouth shyt. People must obviously like this more than other Danny Brown songs. And Danny Brown performs it live a number of times. And there's this, which I'm sure mentions "Grown Up" a few times. But sure, you're welcome to duck because you're insecure about SirBiatch

c) Ka has better rhymes than most new cats (but they're not great either) and his cadence/production leave more to be desired. I've heard way more Ka than you have ASAP Rocky, that's for sure.

That's how you do a hip hop reply, breh. Any weirdo can smiley us to death with a half-assed sentence, but who really know their hip hop? :umad:

I've literally listened to every asap Rocky album and mixtape and put TONS of people on to his first shyt once I heard peso and kissin pink

I've also heard everything KA has ever done. KA has better wordplay, metaphors, rhyme schemes, literally everything besides rapping on the hype beats Rocky does. Just a difference in aesthetic. KA is still a superior rapper. Period.

Oh and just because Danny's most "famous" song is grown up doesn't mean it's his best song. Name me one rapper who's BEST song is also their most popular.

Hypnotize is Biggie's most popular song. Would you say it's his best song? Hell no.

So fukk outta here with that groupie ass logic

NOPE.

Ka has a shyttier voice and an even shyttier cadence. Do you even groove to the music or you just check for rhyme schemes like a typical rhythmless cac? Who cares about rhyme schemes when your voice, your cadence and your beats are garbage? :mjlol:

Rocky has the best voice and cadence of the new school. I know you're gonna attempt to hit me with the smiley but you know it, too :umad: One thing's for sure - in the voice/cadence/beats department, Rocky is miles ahead of Ka. and those are the things that actually drive hip hop music, especially when we're talking about classics.

This is why I specifically mentioned "no radio play", but I see that flew over your head. Danny Brown is a niche artist that doesn't get radio play. So if one of his songs catches on more than another, chances are people organically fukk with that song more than the other.

Every artist has signature songs that are popular for some reason. And this is why I go back to you having tin ears. People don't just magically fukk with "Grown Up" over his other stuff. It's because it's one of the best beats he's ever rapped on, he's actually saying something relevant and his annoying voice is toned down.

I'll let you have the last word.

The total package that I see from this era is Kendrick Lamar. Never did I ever imagine he'd blow after listening to Section 8.0. Quality underground turns commercial success story. The image was that he was supposed to be 3rd generation Dr Dre protege and it worked. GKMC to TPAB to Untitled. Kendricks 2016 Grammy performance solified his mic presence. Kendrick is that dude.

I also believe Drake is that dude as well. Dralke is the full package. And Azealia Banks has the artform down she just doesnt have the likeable personality.Capital Steeze had potential for greatness and Cyhi can reach greatness if his album reaches the grand hype behind it.

These 5 are the only ones that have really impressed me the most from this decade.

But what defines a "great rapper" with rhymes that are mind blowing??

Let me tell u what I remember about last year when I was sitting on a park bench with some neighborhood folks. This gangster ass puerto rican 40+ old was playing Future on his smartphone. The bench is filled with me and like 4 other 20+ olds. When Future says "I fukked your bytch in some Gucci Flip Flops" everyone laughed except me because that line never impressed me...But it impressed everyone else on the bench. So who is to say that line wasn't impressive? Me the minority or the majority??

:jbhmm:

So again...what defines "mind blowing".....OP loves Asap.....well I live in NYC and I see more people fukking with Future then Asap. OP said the greatest rhymes he's heard this decade are from Lil B. But no one I know in reality even fukks with Lil B like that except my teen son who I actually put on to Lil B. I only find Lil B fans online...not in my neck of the woods in reality. For a minute now these youngins around my way have shown to impressed by J Cole. And lately Young M.A. and Don Q are names that are starting to ring heavy in my neck of the woods. So again what defines a great rapper that has rhymes that are "mind blowing"? is it what Op the minority says or is it what the majority says???
