nah it is a great genreHip hop gained too much money too fast to ever be considered a great genre.
Lol two of those people need damn near everyone who's poppin to make a decent album. One cries that he's not given enough respect. One is only given love because he's racially ambiguous and kinda talented. One still talks about serving cocaine even though he's been famous for over twenty years now and doesn't even attempt to expand subject matter. One started off good but then just became a diet version of the one who uses ghostwriters and will never truly step outside of the other who uses them. One just gets clout for good deeds outside of rap but is pretty musically. The final one creates great concepts but kinda benefits from the fact that there's really no competition when it comes to being a lyricist.nah it is a great genre

Mediocrity is very abundant these days and this is due to commercialization.
I just don't think they're that great but to each his own. But I am picky with who I give that greatness title to. Kanye a legend just off the swag tho but musically he requires too much to be great.you're nitpicking.

I can agree but at least show some growth. This nikka still talks about serving and being a top flight kingpin. Show it from the perspective of a nikka who used to be on top but now see the young cats up there no doing what he used to do. Or how the technological advancements in serving nowadays compared to the eighties. If you're truly a master at a particular subject matter it should never feel stale to the listener as you can rhyme from the perspective of an average joe, fiend, or even a fukkin baby. This nikka pusha t is a one trick pony. Hes not a master of his Lane as he is comfortable in it. I give no excuses for lack of creativity for nikkas who are paid to be creative.I'd take any rapper that's great at staying in their lane vs being fairly decent at a lot of stuff but doesn't stand out one bit. There's a lot of rappers that have a wide variety of subject matter, yet simply aren't that appealing rapping about it (which describes half that list tbh)

"I drops every blue moon to separate myself from you kings of the YouTube"I get what you're saying, but he's great at doing just that, and it helps that he isn't putting out projects at a Future/Gucci Mane rate, so it still feels fresh. So it's something to look forward to when he does drop something and it doesn't just get lost in the shuffle.
