Stop crying, Cynic. You keep repeating yourself, too.

Your long-winded post is basically begging me to "please shut up and don't talk about how shytty modern rap is." LOL at begging someone to not form an opinion.

Sorry. I'll be in here shytting on your mediocre crop of rappers you stan. Nothing you can do about it except become a mod and ban me. The sad thing is that you know I'm analytical and say potent shyt. But you don't really want to admit it. The mediocrity of your generation is getting harder and harder to ignore. So the mental gymnastics get more and more impressive.

Do I think Rocky is better than Cam? that's actually a good question. Both are flamboyant, fashionable and have filler rhymes. I prefer Live.Love.ASAP over ANY Camron or Cam affiliated album. But then again, Rocky has never spit a verse as fire as Cam's verse on Fantastic Four pt 2.

somewhat of a toss-up, but I'll go with Rocky.

I guess it burns you inside that Rocky's still around 4 years later. Though I'm sure you thought he wouldn't last a day outside 2011 :russ:

Stop being lazy breh... in the early 00s you could say I got dial up and cant find nothing...now you really have no excuse

Stop shyttin on rappers and find ones you like... Admit it's easier to complain than actually do something
You aren't really serious about it...otherwise you'd be deep in streaming sites uncovering new and forgotten talent
that lives up to whatever standard you uphold

Mediocrity is based on your standards and criteria. When you stop comparing generations then i'll stop exposing you.
Why can't take you let go ? Instead of regurgitating decades old rhetoric that an 80s head would use to sh!t on your fave rappers

If you go with Rocky over Cam, then you've officially stepped into standom.
It's void of logic ( your own logic as an old head who loves authenticity) and really what can I say but point out the absurdity of it ?
You won't budge ....not even if it makes sense so it's basically emotional at that point.

Nah, don't mistake me using Rocky against you as an indictment on Flacko.... he's a simply a symbol of your bizarre hypocrisy

I'm from uptown and love to see us win, burns me inside ?

I actually felt he waited too long to release this album. He should have kept clams casino, done a duet with Lorde or Adele
,given Lord Flacko Joyde to Ace Hood and dated another model/famous b!tch but it's still a solid effort without the label input.

I got M's, Everyday in heavy rotation:madiba:

It's absurd to you because you're a mental midget.

I don't find Rocky nor Cam to be deep. They're both rappers who live and die on their stylistic choices. I just prefer Rocky's style.

How is this hard to understand?

You stan an industry plant who blew outta nowhere and whose biggest hit was a Drake stimulus :gotdamnbreh:

Then put him over a seasoned vet with more charisma and legit track record :deseanha:

You're a stan whose standards don't apply when it comes to Rocky ...there's no consistency but a lot of justification

None of these guys are on the Nas and 2Pac level. Obviously our standardS have dropped somewhat. But to me Kendrick, Drake, J. Cole & Gibbs are the best of this generation and stand out the most to me. Problem for me is that too many guys sound the same but I'll still enjoy the music.

You could also include Rocky & Joey Bada$$ to the list.

OP is actually right:ld:
Other than prime Lupe this generation has no GREAT rappers
EDIT: if Jay elec stops dikking around and drops the damn album, he could easily rise to GREAT status imo

For the most part, you've got generic turn-up clones on one side and smart-dumb fake-deep generic nikkas on the other. All of them with dull beats, voices and vague/dull rhymes.

LOL at nikkas who criticize Rocky and Lil B for not having 'depth' but listen to Wet Dreamz and King Kunta on repeat. :pachaha:

Y'all don't have a single rapper that says clear mindblowing shyt. In fact, the greatest rhymes I've heard from the new school are from Lil B due to the sheer absurdity, uniqueness, and sincerity in his ramblings.

Rewindable quotables though? Not even close. Y'all really think some new cat is approaching 1/10th the depth of a Nas/Jay-Z/Jeru The Damaja/Kool G Rap etc rhyme? :mjlol:

Y'all as a whole simply don't care about depth. Stop pretending you do when it benefits your stilted logic.

Go ahead and neg and make your usual deflecting comments. The real know exactly what I'm talking about.
I agree somewhat although I do think that the latest Kendrick album puts him in the running. And Rocky is the shyt. I'm def guilty of top 40 listening lol but I agree with your point

Jay Electronica raps better than 99.5% of rappers in history, album dropped or not. And Lupe is FOSHO not the only great rapper out
I fukks wit jay elec but that statement is ridiculous :mjlol:
Your bar for greatness is low, none of the b list rappers named in this thread match the caliber of greatness set by 90s legends

the statement is flawless breh. nikka literally does not have a single wack verse, like every line is just forged with the impeccable precision that stretches the boundaries of human artistic creativity. i'd put him over most people the history of contemporary music period. the nikka is so fukkin ill

Lama sabachthani
I'm trying to see light but the devil trying to blind me
The grim reaper walking with his shovel right behind me
Trying to introduce me to the untimely unkindly
I Walk the line finely like Johnny Cash
But I keep getting visits from the ghost of the past
So I spark another L then I go to the pad

You'll never catch me slippin on the grassy knoll,
Or at the bottom of a well screaming lassy no.
I'm never spittin nothing less than a nasty cold.
I'm from the era of Gazelle shades and flashy gold

Intermission transmission
Put me in submission
Glistening trapped in the light prism whistling
Then Christ told me come closer to the light man
I went blind woke up in front of a mic stand

The handling of a heart is a very delicate art cause it's paper thin
One irrelevant thought, that started out as a spark, could be a poisonous dart, that leaves a permanent mark, that's ice cold in the day, and burns in the dark, and makes you never wanna see her face again
Tee-hee what a place I'm in
Lead me to the sta-ti-on

Imaginary crime boss, talkin' about look at my watch and how much my shine cost is time lost, Who Shot Ya? the Black Bach blasting over opera, phantom of the Chakras, Jay Doppler went from pan handling socks in the Bronx to popular, This is just the start of it, the kid intend to split more wigs than British Parliament, catch me on tour with Jigga and Al Ogre singing Dear Summer where Autumn went

Sugar plum candy coated lines for the dummies
Decoded hieroglyphics in the shrines for the mummies
We not illuminati but our eye is on the money
My mind's on the scripture -
It's beautiful,I see every line on the picture
So when the leaves rustle and the cock crows winter

few people in rap history share the same ground as him on painting vibrant pictures with their very words imo.
