Some of you guys refuse to give Kendrick any credit.
Is it a case of not wanting to admit a younger "cat" can compare to the music you listened to or a boner for older music that prevents you from seeing the quality out now?

both of those reasons are imaginary, especially on a forum filled with hip hop fans who are open to hearing new, great shyt.

Kendrick's basura. Sorry.

Who do you consider a good rapper? Half of those rappers could body Jay on a beat (some of them already have, namely Lupe and Jay Elec).
I bet you'll name some early 90s rappers who weren't actually that good, but that are so wrapped in nostalgia that you'll dikkride any and all of their songs :snoop:

There are lots of good rappers. They just started disappearing after the late 90s/early 2000s.

Lupe and Jay Elec are trash, and 'bodied' Jay in his trash years. so what?

If I was so wrapped up in nostalgia, I wouldn't be a Lil B/ASAP Rocky to begin with. so try coming with a better argument please and thank you.

Didn't mind it, honestly. All the geeky voices worked for me on GKMC. I started to hate Hobbit hands sometime around the Control verse.

:mjlol: "Hobbit hands"

What'd you dislike about the Control verse? Kendrick is going to be a legend, by the way.

Drake is probably the best rapper of his generation. He's one of the few with a real identity and stays to who he is. I'm not a fan; he sings waaaaaay to much for me
it'll quickly derail into bullshyt as people start mentioning "Max B", "Guwop", Drake, etc.

Most hip hop fans at this point have no idea what it means to be great.

True. It's a shame too. Hip-hop got better every year throughout the 80's & 90's up to about the mid 2000s. After that, it became what it is now. Even at this point with all of the rappers, they have really made the game regress.
