8 games remaining.
Currently 18-56 record.
Last season they went 22-60.

I think Wemby has exceeded all expectations as a rookie. The Spurs need to ask themselves, and perhaps answer to the fans why the Spurs have a worse record with nearly the same roster but added an elite talent like Victor.

If everything was the same and you added Wemby, that should have moved the needle somewhat noticeably. It has not.
Why?

Offensive and defensive rating last season: 110.2 (29th) and 120.0 (30th)
Offensive and defensive rating this season: 110.3 (26th) and 117.2 (22nd)

Injuries, youth, bad lineups, defense, poor shooting, inconsistency

The Spurs have had so many blown leads and close losses this year too

Injuries?
Who was hurt that would have made a difference?
No major injuries but that early season injury to Devin after the 3-2 start to the year I think stunted momentum.

But to me the biggest issues are defense and shooting and late game execution

They've had 7 one possession losses and 13 losses by less than 5 points. If they could've won at least half of those, they are at 24 wins with a chance to hit 30

We were bad this year, but it'll be better next year

That's a fair point.
If you have a lot of close losses, variance could tip those games into wins.
