Canelo simply bit off more than he could chew and a rematch would be more of the same .


This does not change the fact that GGG-Nelo 3 would be a wipeout and should not be made .

So why is that so many people had Canelo beating him easy??? Called the man a cherry pick and everything... was it just to downplay the victory in case Canelo won or was it that they don't understand how moving up divisions work or why we even have them

I don't agree with this, it was the boxing and footwork that gave canelo problems. Not many 175 lbers have the footwork and distance that bivol has. The power helps keep canelo at distance but it takes the footwork and placement to get there.

If Plant had more punching power and better stamina his fight with Canelo would of been similar to this one. Plant was landing a lot of shots on Canelo, but they weren't phasing Cinnamon.

Dmitry Bivol beat Canelo for a few reasons. 72" arm reach, strong stiff jab, faster hands, much faster feet, solid defense, he knows how to position himself to minimize what is coming back at him, he is patient and fought his fight and didn't let Canelo dictate anything to him, he has good solid fundamentals, VOLUME PUNCHING, good power. Also it doesn't help that Canelo is so slow on his feet I don't even know if he could have cut the ring off on George Foreman.

After mentioning everything I just mentioned do you know another fighter who possesses all the qualities in spades and then some: Errol Spence Jr. If you want to say Canelo is bigger that is fine, but from STRICTLY A STYLISTIC STANDPOINT Spence is a matchup nightmare for Canelo, Spence attacks the body far more often than Bivol does. Like I said Canelo is the bigger guy so he should be favored due to size over Spence, but from a stylistic standpoint it is nowhere out the realm of possibility Spence couldn't do the exact same thing to Canelo.

Nah i don't agree with this, i never seen canelo gwt hit with so many flush shots in bunches like this in a long time. Bivol was catching and shooting all his body shots and returning with multiple combos in a row. There was one exhange bivol got like 6-7 straight flush shots on canelo. Plant wasn't getting 10+ hit rounds like this.

Some of it is probably because Bivol isn’t a sexy name and nikkas not really sitting down watching him box and some of it is that we’ve seen Canelo run through nikkas for years now so it’s just expecting more of the same .
