as a world class nikka terminology user... who uses the word to express 75 different means and emotions..:banderas:

I just wanna say.... That shyt isn't a term of endearment and no it's not an OK thing to say.

We have to stop using this shyt ( in public at the very least)

If you've ever watched TMZ show on TV, it is a group of men and women who follow Hollywood celebrities, athletes, celebrities and other famous people and make funny comments. I think there is one black dude out of all of them, so I don't know if they think they get a "pass", because they don't.

I actually watch it all the time (I have no cable, but my DVD player has free internet channels, tmz being one of them), the person asking the question sounds like this one chubby light skin chick that is regular also

But they get racial all the time, sometime it's funny sometimes not

i prefer negro but it's use is dying. the old old generation uses negro and i use it too. but no one really uses negro anymore.

i know this one white hardcore republican "conservative" dude who's a bud of my bud who uses negro but the way he says it is just eh. he don't like black ppl at all.. he's stuck on the racial sh1t and he'll never get out of it and he really doesn't give a fuq. he comes from money and doesn't give a sh1t. white folks don't like him either but he's got money so they're 2faced in his pretense. with me i don't care for him. i don't even talk to him when we're all at my bud's office..

i agree. i've never made a big deal about it this, but i stopped using that word at least 6 or 7 years ago. i don't type it or say it. all my black friends and some of my fam who use it regularly probably don't notice i don't use it, but i don't try to get them to change their ways. when discussion of the word comes up i'll point out that i don't use it, but not on some holier than thou type sh1t. just don't feel like it anymore on a personal level. i don't tell the brehs on the coli to stop using it either. has to be a personal thing that you do when you're ready.

Don't hate on Harvey

The kwuns wanted their freedom of speech in rap and they won.
Now we have polls like this.

Yep, exactly, People acting like suge is some clown acting out and not one of the major players and influencers in rap music and on black people, and acting like what he is saying isn't something that a lot of black people agree with

wrong on all accounts. he ain't influencing no one in rap in 2013 and he ain't been a major player on the rap scene in more than a decade. and yes, he is a clown that most black people don't give a sh1t about or what he has to say anymore. also the majority of black people don't agree with what he said. don't let that fake azz poll fool you.

Hmm....so as a black man I dont have the right to determine how people address me? Im to accept racialized indignities from the dominant class, who conveniently have a centuries long history of abusive behavior towards certain categories of groups, because of the words of Suge Knight? Is this some of dat " American freedom" you always be talkin' 'bout?

the label that suge founded is arguably the most influential label in rap history, if its not the #1 most influential its #2

name me one label that is more influential than death row? and yes death row is still influencing people in 2013, what rock do you live under?

i didnt say majority, but there are a lot of black that believe that, im not going by the poll, im talking about arguments ive had on here and in real life, a lot of black people are more comfortable with nikka than african american, what suge said is not an aberration or some far out belief

yeah you do, who said you didn't?

Im to accept racialized indignities from the dominant class, who conveniently have a centuries long history of abusive behavior towards certain categories of groups, because of the words of Suge Knight?

no yo shouldnt, that is why i dont agree with suge knight and the rap world trying to popularize the word nikka, i think your beef is with suge not with me

Is this some of dat " American freedom" you always be talkin' 'bout?

yeah, everybody has the right to identify themselves however they want to identify themselves, i prefer african american, and im against the word nikka or ******, no matter who uses it and in what context

my position is that delores tucker was right and that rap music and people like suge knight and his death row label have and are misleading black people

i dont agree with what suge knight said or with TMZ putting that poll, but i think something like it is inevitable when rap music has popularized the term
