Ok cool. 1 opponent in 50 fights.

Floyd was the favorite in everyone of those fights and the majority had Floyd winning. I don't care what casual Boxing fans have to say...especially when you bringing up Hatton, Mosley, Pacquiao, and Canelo.

Do I need to post the odds for those fights?

vs Hatton he was a 2.4/1 favorite
vs Mosely he was a 4/1 favorite
vs Pacquiao he was a 2/1 favorite
vs Canelo he was a 3/1 favorite

Out of who he faced?

A prime Manny Pacquiao and a prime ODLH.

I could say the same thing, you right about Corrales, that was 16 years ago lmao
what about the rest of his career?

What about the rest of Roy's career? Roy also went up 46lbs+...was outweighed by 33lbs in the ring...and won the Championship from the Heavyweight Champion. Dared to be great.

Also beating a prime James Toney > a prime Diego Corrales being that James Toney is one of the greatest fighters ever, and was ranked #2 P4P when Roy Jones moved up and beat him in his 1st fight at a new weight class. Again, daring to be great.

How did Floyd dare to be great?

By saying he was great?:dahell:

Like I said, he was great....but he played his career very safe. That's just facts.

He was calling out de la hoya for years before they fought
We all no the pacquaio situation

Im asking who could floyd of fought who he didnt fight where he would be the underdog. and im talking about realistic reasonable match ups.

And im not doubting roys greatness
But again to my point, floyds 50 50 fight was early in his career, just like roys 50 50 fight was early in their career. we are talking about 2 of the top 5 best boxers ever. once they got going, no one was stopping them and both of dem got hated on and downplayed because they were so great.

They were gonna be the favourites no matter who they faced. roy was the favourite over ruiz because ruiz was a bum

brother,
corrales was a 50-50 fight

in recent memory, people said he could lose to hatton, mosley, pacquaio and canelo

do we gotta go back to those threads, youtube videos, and hbo commentary to see what ppl were saying bout him being scared and possibly losing:mindblown:

who could floyd of fought where he would of been the underdog?:jbhmm:

you are right about toney, that was in 1994 lmao
what about the rest of his career

you are penalizing a man for being great
Back on Sohh there were tons of comments about Floyd losing, especially the Hatton fight, quite a few cats were picking him (Hatton) to win. Biggest threats back then were Hatton, Cotto and Mosley. All had their supporters/believers respectively against Floyd :manny:

That's the whole point.

"Daring to be great" when you're already elite doesn't = realistic, reasonable matchups. It means doing what others don't believe is possible. Examples: Rigo is trying to move up 2 divisions to an elite fighter in prime Vasyl Lomachenko at 130 (daring to be great). Mikey Garcia wants to fight either prime Keith Thurman at 147 (daring to be great). Errol Spence wants the winner of Canelo/GGG at 160 (daring to be great). SRL moving up to division to face Marvin Hagler (daring to be great). Roberto Duran's entire career was a dare to be great.

Floyd was an elite fighter...especially at 147. He needed to face someone where it seemed like he was up against it, and come out on top.

Sergio Martinez, Paul Williams, GGG, Winky Wright, any of them were willing and ready to fight at 154 and all would've put Floyd's back to the wall bc they were good Boxers and also held the size advantage.

None of these open as favourites against floyd
Again, you are penalizing the guy because no one in his weight class area would be considered the favourite to beat him

Errol garcia and rigo ( who youve said is ducking by the way lol) havent got these fights yet

Thats no different than floyd calling out mosley and de la hoya for 147 fights when he was still at 135

Or him willing to cut weight ti fight undefeated prince rahim

Pacquaio was the favourite against cheato, lol
Just admit the rules are different when it comes to floyd

I don't think you understand what im saying.

How about you tell me when Floyd dared to be great then? When he did he overcome something that was deemed an impossible feat for him?

You're Floyd's #1 fan....so tell me. Who did Floyd beat that was looked at as immeasurable odds?:ohhh:

I named multiple fighters above....you used him facing Diego Corrales:heh:

i already said the term "dare to be great" is stupid to me lol
so we'll agree to disagree
floyd was always the best and was always the favourite and there was no fights he coulda made that full under your "dare to be great category"

thats not something i would penalize him for,

your telling me pacquaio fighting a concrete less cheato at a catch weight and being a huge favorite is "daring to be great, an impossible feat":dead:

so we'll just leave this alone:heh:
