kicks don't need to be flashy to be powerful, I don't thnk Floyd, untrained in kickboxing, could withstand more than 3 power leg kicks.
Also Conor's standing MMA arsenal isn't limited to kicks, Conor can get in with punches and throw a knee at close range, if Floyd stands his ground to guard that allows Conor to go into the clinch without creating counter punching opportunities.
And by that point he can just control Mayweather and get a smooth takedown.

In boxing Conor's going to get counter punched all day long and Floyd is going to dance around him though
