wait what ? not trying to diminish the win we all know he will WIN against the novice MMA fighter but i don''t exaggerate things that how easy FLoyd can do what he want's he let Connor hit him. that didn't happen in the early rounds Floyd having a hard time measuring distance between him and Connor, him getting hit by counters Connor decent head movement, with a GSP stamina he will put Floyd in much harder position with that size and Flyod's pillow punch

the difference is floyd actually fought pacquiao with respect. if he would have went head first into manny with no foot movement at all, he gets knocked out. he did that with conor because he didn't respect his boxing skill whatsoever. dude was barely fazed by any of the shyt conor landed. face showed no marks of damage at all. conor may got power in MMA, but in boxing his shyt is barely average.
First round

Floyd went to the coner and was like

Okay take your best shots :russ:

I respect any man that steps into a ring, because I know what it takes

so even tho it was purely a money move and we just watched a glorified sparring session respect to mccregor but anyone who thinks he could do well if he switched over to boxing is deluded ......

to anyone that knows anything about the sport , he looked like a standard club fighter or as they are called 'tomato cans" ....

I'm judging the fight as I saw it...I have no agenda here :yeshrug:

You have one though since you so butthurt about Floyd, you can't even give another fighter some credit, eventhough Floyd himself dapped him up and showed love afterward.

If he was so trash, then Floyd should've knocked him out in round 5 or 6 in an embarrassing fashion and ended all doubt, right? Instead, Connor showed he had some raw transferable talent from MMA but, no professional boxing conditioning. Floyd let him tire himself out and then went to work on his face. The end.
Connor was running and clinching too much. And Floyd isn't a offensive fighter anyway while also being retired. Skill wise that was probably Mayweathers worse fight since 2005.

you talking about pillow punches but a clean uppercut couldn't get a 40 year old man's respect :skip:

Youre an idiot. Floyd hadnt fought in 2 years. He was rusty. After round 4 it was an ass whipping. Floyd was beating that body, as to why he gassed.

nonsense.....

go and watch GGG verses kell Brook ....... Kell Brook won the early rounds because GGG didnt respect his power, he ate all of Kells biggest shots by just standing in front of him, Kell threw every big shot he could and GGG just took it

and when he was ready he broke Kell Brooks face ....

your dude never stood a chance, just give it up

I kept telling the homies chill....floyd is setting him up. They were all nervous thinking Floyd was in trouble:mjlol:.......like breh, have you ever seen Floyd fight. Once he figures you out, it's over. Dude was cheesing at the camera in between rounds letting everybody know what it was.

But I'll give conor his respect. He did his thing. If he would have stuck with boxing, maybe he could have been something. But he was out of his league tonight.

For some reason, I wanna see conor vs Canelo now. These mma geeks really making excuses. Canelo will shut all that noise up quick. There won't be no feeling out. Straight knock his head off from the get go.
This was my biggest issue about the fight from a matchup level. The style that would really show the difference between a boxer and MMA fighter in the way people expect isn't who Floyd is. Floyd is methodical and master the thinking man's game. He took apart Conor over the course of the fight, which is what Floyd does. Had that been Canelo in with Conor I have no doubt that we would have seen Conor visibly shaken from a punch in the first round and on his way out the door in the next round or two, if not the first round. Just two different styles. As we know, Canelo isn't better than Floyd, it is just Floyd's style isn't set up to conquer early in fights.

A lot of people were talking about this fight putting a stain on boxing and I figured they would try to pin it on how Floyd's style didn't make for a quick night and that somehow means McGregor succeeded. That seems to be the case. Something maybe only boxing heads will understand is that Floyd won't Danny Garcia Rod Salka. Floyd at this point would still feel Salka out and take him apart over the course of the fight. But triangle theories don't apply and Floyd would take Danny Garcia to a lopsided decision over 12 rounds. And if we want to go there, Danny Garcia would counter punch KO Conor into next week.

Unfortunately in many ways Floyd was the perfect fighter to give MMA fans the excuses they need to keep believing in their own reality.

No disrespect to Conor, he showed up and fought to win, it just wasn't going to happen. At least that part of the event went well. Conor was there for more than a paycheck. He tried.
