I hope McGregor never fights again.

He doesn't need to. shyt, if you follow his career its likely that he doesn't want to either.

I don't think he'll ever fight either. He looks happy that he just made millions tonight, he would have to like 10 more times in the UFC to make what he made tonight

Imagine if Kevin Lee won his interim fight against Tony and Conor came back...Conor coming back to fight Kevin Lee? Yeah right:mjlol:

I get what SAS is saying tho when you're used to how Floyd looks, not even early Floyd but late career Floyd. Floyd was not sharp at all tonight and didn't employ his usual defensive tactics, I get that Floyd wasn't worried about his power but I would have liked to have seen Floyd fight a sharper fight, that was basically a sparring session and he was carrying McG for rounds.
Floyd said he was going to stalk conor down, he chose not to be sharp. he used his guard and walked forward. He wasnt in it to box, he was just having fun and decided to go out with a bang and fight toe to toe.

:russell:Floyd took the same 4 rounds he gives every fighter he faces time to figure out their strategy. Once he figures them out, he systematically dismantles them.

Mayweather is a once in a generation fighter period, even at 40.
well he took that first round to Pac that's what Pac game plan fukk up. so NO, Connor give him trouble with that size, reach, good head movement decent counter.
u guys making Floyd as someone who's not, he looks old and slow to react we all know that COnnor stamina will be over after 4-6 rounds but great stamina like GSP
Floyd will be in a tougher fight

McGregor can probably sell one more big boxing fight since Mayweather played with him and didn't shoulder-roll+counter him to make him look absolutely foolish. You can just read it in the false hope posts of people thinking Connor had a chance or that this was Floyd's normal fighting style that got him to 49-0.

Connor should actually thank Mayweather for just standing there and trading shots ... he can flip two boxing paydays out of it.

Stopped it to save Conor's legacy? More like stopped it to save Conor's LIFE.

And to save the commission and himself from catching a lawsuit or some kind of extreme scrutiny for even allowing this shyt to be sanctioned and then the ref allowing Conor to get seriously injured in a fight that should've been stopped.

Stop being a Floyd fanboy for a minute and just be a boxing fan (if you actually are one)... Should this fight NOT have been stopped? :usure:

HE NEVER GAVE HIM ONE WARNING FOR RABBIT PUNCHES
AND HAMMER PUNCHES.

DONT ROB US OF A KNOCK DOWN KNOCK OUT.

NOW WE GOTTA HEAR EXCUSES AND PLEAS.

Floyd walked him down basically the whole fight...He had no respect for his power.
He respected that speed n range, distance n timing though.....he made sure Connor was tired b4 he let his hands go...

McGregor could hold his head high, that boy put more leather of Floyd than some y'all favorite fighters

I'm rewatching this now and yeah, Floyd's only motive in the early rounds was to gas Conor. Because if he kept coming forward, Conor was going to have to back-peddle, expending energy. Floyd Sr. thought by round four, Conor would be done, I thought around that time too. Floyd is one of the best ever at cutting off a ring, he didn't even try to do that this fight. He threw a couple of jabs to Conor's solar plexus to keep him honest. He just let Conor walk backwards, blow his wad, tire himself out. I personally thought Conor's tank would empty earlier, props to him for that, but when it did go, I knew Floyd would do what he needed to do. I don't want to outright say Floyd carried him for the first few rounds because Conor did show legit boxing ability, but Floyd was just biding his time and when it was time, he was going to make it count.
