If McGregor faced a boxer that actually goes for the knockout...this fight would have been over a lot sooner.
Put Conor in with a man his own weight and size and closeness to prime and you are more likely to find Canelo or GGG as an opponent. That would be :merchant: for Conor.

Outside of this fight being a charade if we are being real about the matchup I always said this matchup favored this type of fight...which leads to MMA fans excuses (and all Mayweather's previous opponents - until their careers are done and they tell the truth :umad:). Mayweather is tactical, defensively minded, likes to think through the fight, uses his punches in a one at a time style, or a 1-2, rarely does multiple punch combos because it sacrifices his defense. This would lead to a drawn out fight (count me as one who didn't think it would be an early KO) and a slower less dramatic breakdown.

Had Conor been in their with someone like Errol Spence, Keith Thurman, Canelo, GGG, etc...he would have been bombed the fukk out in less than half the time and taken punches that would have shaken him to the core, because they fight a different style and look for their offense much more aggressively and earlier.

It isn't a slight on Mayweather to say this...I just know it isn't his style and whether the opponent is Maidana or McGregor he isn't going to change who he is just like McGregor can't become a boxer in 3 months. Doesn't change the fact that Mayweather can still give 99% of boxer the slow breakdown into an inevitable loss.

No he did not, he basically wiat for Connor to get tired, a good with stamina Connor will give FLoyd a lot of trouble with that size
:russell:Floyd took the same 4 rounds he gives every fighter he faces time to figure out their strategy. Once he figures them out, he systematically dismantles them.

Mayweather is a once in a generation fighter period, even at 40.

shows how dumb they are too. getting knocked out in MMA is very, very different than being knocked out in boxing

floyd was hitting that man in the face uncontested for over 30 seconds. all flush. that just doesn't happen in MMA fights. you take repeated hits to the dome then have your head bounce off the mat? people legit forget how to breathe and die out here
i wouldn't go that far. Most floyd fans wanting him knocked out is due to his big racist mouth.

"dance for me boy" "dancing monkeys" but i'm supposed to be feel sorry if his head bounces off the canvas? :francis:

If Floyd was 150 n shredded yesterday, he was 8-10 pounds heavier in the ring where he had little muscle definition, in the stomach/ back area

People still thinks Floyd is a small guy, he has been playing scale games, hiding weights, needing IVs etc since his first retirement

floyd was 149

Not in MMA

If he wants that big paper he needs to go pro in boxing and hire a top class trainer
Yeah no way he's doing that in MMA, although...

if he were to somehow do self-promoted MMA, he could do it. but that would be a huge investment.
