Yeah, as I said sounds like Kidhulthood which was the British version of this movie it seems like

That movie had people committing suicide, people getting lit up, people getting stabbed, women getting smacked up by their mans, drug deals, robberies, gang beef, dudes impregnating women and dipping, etc. Everything

That shyt was too much. If this is anything like that than

kidulthood is nowhere near as good as kids.

kids is like a reality based movie that is as close to reality for the time as it could be, for that particular age group.
plus, it was made to fit into the cog of cautionary reality tale based media for the era.
which was all the rage and from the response in this thread.
it seems the people on this forum are not able to digest media.
that showcases cautionary tale and cause for your act based content.

kids for the time is an excellent portrayal of american teen behavior.
by modern x's and o's based cautionary tale media for that day and age.
with what could be described as the litmus test for indie film edge.

you can tell nikkaz in this thread ain't never really kicked it in the hood and smoked and lol'd at kids and the no legs scene days and months, to years on end.

Crazy how many child actors in this movie became movie stars to some degree, including Rosario Dawson.

Surprised it took so long for someone to mention the most classic scene in the movie.

I think it was an important scene too because even though the kids were "bad" throughout the whole film, the fact that they gave the guy money despite the fact they had been begging and stealing the whole film showed they weren't exceptionally rotten human beings, but instead that they were probably just average people that could still show compassion who were simply stuck in a terrible environment.

mab he just gave him money because he was on a skateboard, thou? the other guy didn't give him money, i think that had something to do with the act of kindness.
