You know being told “you’re not my daddy” after doing a lot for that child has to be soul crushing.
When my cousin was 17, she got into an argument with her stepdad after he caught her sneaking boys in. In the heat of the moment, she told him, "You are not my daddy." The sad part is, he had been the one raising her since she was about six or seven months old, and at the time, she didn’t even know who her biological father was. In a fit of anger, he snapped and slapped her. Their relationship was never the same after that. Eventually, she found her real father and now treats him better than the stepdad who had been there for her, despite the fact that her biological father had abandoned her.

yep, let’s just kill the foster system and let those kids suffer. Adoption? Let’s get rid of that too…let’s just leave kids in shytty group homes or in the streets
Not all kids will hate their step dads. You gotta understand that you ain't the dad and tell the little fukker you are an advisor

And the people who suffer in terms of stigmatization are literally children, black children at that.

people who didn't ask for the hand in life they were dealt.

And mfers wonder why some of our people be giddy to be around cacs and non-blacks

Look at how we talk about one another.

FOR WHAT.
This right here. All this shyt happening and this is the dumb topic folks want to rehash.

We should do a follow up poll of how many of us had our dads in our lives regularly.

It's disappointing seeing this kind of content shared. Anyone reading in between the line can see how destructive it is to view kids that aren't your as foreign like this.

I'm not saying wife up any/every body, I'm saying that taking care of the kids of the woman you love is not mental illness. It's what a man does and strengthens the (black) community. You can't preach these selfish views and then act surprised when the community is struggling

Guys like him take that too far, if the man is compatible with the kid and can get the kid to recognize him as the new leader, then the relationship can develop and the family can work. Now personally i wouldn't get with a single mother unless i was going to give her a baby too, but after reflecting on life, imo, the kids didn't ask to be born in this chaotic life on earth so if a man feels like they'll help raise them then I don't have an issue with that cause most kids deserve a good father of any kind

Exactly

I have a co worker just turned 30, has a 5 year old son.the kids father was murdered when she was 5 months pregnant. She’s a pretty ,single ,homebody. Don’t see any issue with playing a role for her kid if you feelin her.
Did you grow up in a single parent household?
