They're not coming back. They can give Lesnar all of the half assed title reigns that they want. That wrestling boom isn't coming back anytime soon.

It's not even about a boom period. They were doing 4 and a half million viewers a week three years ago. This past week's RAW did a little more than half of that. No doubt in my mind a large reason why almost half of those 4.5 million left is cuz the shyt is so bad and corny now. No real superstars left and the buddy buddy shyt on social media is a big reason why.

Kayfabe isnt the problem as much as the PG restraints and the predictability that comes with it. People get offended by EVERYTHING now and everyone has a voice so they can't push any lines without some soccer mom raising hell and them having to apologize.


It's hard to grow when they are in a tiny box of how far they can push things. No blood feuds, can't curse except during mania season, guys have scripts and can't even converse the way adults in an actual conflict do "I'm going to beat you up" stops sounding menacing after 3rd grade

Funny how UFC gets brought up as being "real" when in reality it's cut from the same cloth as the WWE. Especially with the fact that the new owners are pushing a sport entertainment type of feel to the UFC. Hence why some UFC have unnecessary fukkery happening and the joke of the rank system, where it doesn't matter how many wins a fighter gets...if St Pierre fighting a champion then dammit he's fighting a champion.

Has been wrestling without predetermined outcomes for a while too. It's a LOT of fun to rile up mma diehards and point that out to them, ITS REAL DAMMIT!!!

I'm a fan of mma but they have an arbitrary at best "ranking system" which makes it more entertainment than sport
