I think I phrased it wrong... Mental illness is common among the general population, especially for males that age.. They guys are human beings first, before football players..This could have happened if they worked for UPS...We just shouldn't always assume it's because of head trauma...

the evidence is there

ignore it if you want but the studies have been done and football players are dropping like flies...

i'm willing to bet everything i have that this is brain damage related.

this is the biggest issue in sports right now if you ask me.

Crazy sad... I wouldn't rush to blame head injuries though.. Mentally illness and depression are much more common for young males than concussions...

I mean this were young kids, one probably 21 and now Murdock 25, Murdock who I don't think ever played in the NFL really. Not saying it can't be head trauma, but it's the go to thing now, meanwhile kids are killing themselves every day and have no football experience\

Hell in 2006 suicide was the #7 leading death in males in the US, think about that. Were they all head trauma victims

1. the players brains that have been examined are clearly damaged. Not just nfl players but college and high school as well.

2. brain damage contributes to depression and alzheimers. which leads to suicide to some cases.

If you disagree with either of those things you are arguing against doctors.


So taking a 'wait and see' attitude while players are dropping like flies is pretty ridiculous.

i've made threads on this before and honestly feel conflicted about it, as far as what my relationship is with football going forward.

I know for a fact that I'm not as rapid fire verbally as I once was after taking AND giving some serious shots to people back in 98'. I knew shyt sort of changed for me after taking this once shot to the head in VA.

I've never been depressed though, but shyt isn't the same and I know its because of football.

Suicides aren't something ppl just accept as easily as someone being murdered or even dying in a car crash.

I'm saying that being SURPRISED by something that isn't culturally common to us isn't a crime. And using race to determine the difference in cultures isn't something wrong.

Too many people spend time perverting pointing out race as if it is always being used to be divisive. Nothing about pointing out the cultural difference on suicides was divisive in here until Gram manufactured it being divisive.

Is it wrong that the Armed Forces are studying black women to HELP the problems of suicide from post war soliders? Of course it isn't. But "w-ww-w-w-why do people bring up race" when pointing at the cultural difference or surprise when blacks do something uncharacteristically is annoying because blacks can't use race to be puzzled by shyt.

If anything...that's a completely new trend I find annoying.
