I wouldn't be surprised if it had nothing to do with football. nikka might have been carrying around some shyt from years ago that we know nothing about. It's just sad how fukked up people can be inside and you really have no way of knowing until they do something like this.

the similarity i would point to is both young wr's whose spent their last season on injured reserve. mckinley openly discussed being fearful that his two knee injuries may end his career. dont know how bad murdock's injury was. i didnt even know he was on a roster or injured reserve.

I think it has a lot more to do with this than brain injuries, also the fact his friend killed himself could have played a role in his mental state.

Who knows i`m not trying to judge the man, but can we please stop with the instant "Brain injury" to anyone who kills themselves?

It's true.

And the group LEAST likely to commit suicide in this country are black women. The US Armed forces are now looking at black women behavior to address the problem of suicide within the army.

I`d say it's because black women are pretty strong, they put up with shyt from day one, and almost never have it easy.

Pretty white women are probably the lowest on the list, but probably highest of the half-ass suicide for attention list.

I always believe when you go through hardship early in life, you're very unlikely to break down/commit dat. That's why I say it's important to let people fail when they're young, or struggle. It builds your character and makes you mentally tougher.

I think this is the main reason VY had such a hard time in the NFL, he was so good for so long, he couldn't deal with failure in the right way

3. the more we study brain damage the more we find out that it can contribute to a suicide

there are facts that are coming out about your favorite sport... you can either be an adult about it or pretend it's not happening

Yes.....and it wasn't done so negatively...it was done so from a cultural aspect where black males do NOT commit suicide at rates compared to others. So looking at that....YES....it is surprising to some of us black folks when someone goes out like that.
