This show was very disappointing.

People going "I liked that part when..... " are missing the point. Sure the show had funny moments, but it was just as I feared. Less control for some people usually makes the whole project worse. On 30 Rock I'm sure she was kept in check by many other people, allowing her voice to shine through, but also trim the fat. This was half fat.

This was an extremely cliched show. Fish out of water, gay black man, everyone is so ~quirky~. It gets old after a while and a funny gag here or there just isn't enough to make up for all the eyeroll moments and the truly horrible story. Slightly reminiscent of Ricky Gervais's slide into garbagedom with Derek.

I'm being very harsh with it, but then again 30 Rock exists! If 30 Rock didn't exist, I'm sure I'd find it fantastic... but it exists. So watch that instead

So I take it this show needs a straight-guy/character (not sex preference-sense, obviously) to keep the show grounded more in your opinion eh?
