Been watching a lot of old sci fi movies lately. The first 2 alien movies, total recall, and robocop. Effects look so bad and dated. Alien movies were kinda boring to me til the end. *puts on flame suit*

Not surprised Aliens is winning in the polls. But IMO aliens is far too formulated as a film to be better than Alien. And I always found the whole "queen alien" hella corny. Still a good film though. (also, neither films have aged well at all).

gotta go with aliens. probly cause i saw that one first. wasnt really feeling the shift from all-out action flick (aliens) to horror thriller (alien). i can appreciate it now tho.

but that scene in the vents/ladder well in the first flick? where the alien ends up behind duke.. i swear every time it pops out i'm waiting for it to scream "happy birthday!" costume did not hold up too well over the years.

No I won't make a list, but here are two:

2001: A Space Odyssey. Even if you think it's boring, it was so far ahead of its time it's not even funny (and for that alone it doesn't belong in the "overrated movies" thread). Still looks great.

The Good, The Bad & The Ugly. Released 45 years ago, but more entertaining than every movie nowadays.

i love both those movies but none of pass the eye test over 30 years later

no movie does. space odyssey, star wars, alien etc were all ahead of their time but their time is in the past

i love old movies, im not a real fan of cgi

i kinda enjoy grimey looking movies like the good the bad and ugly

actors got yellow teeth and sh!t makes it feel realer

Yea I ain't mean to make it seem like it was a small percentage or somethin..but yea...the first one had an overall better vibe IMO..

Part 1 i def like more, part 2 is almost there, some plot malfunctions hinder part 2 a bit but its still top 10 movie ever.
