Who had the last meaningful World Championship Run the WWE had before AJ? And I mean a legit title reign that wasn't transitional, stat padding, on the fly/a make up reign for an injury?
Either Brock, JBL () or Eddie. I would maybe give it to Cena's first run with the belt, but given what we know now I can't say it wasn't the precursor to Stat Padding because of how he was booked.

I've been watching wrestling since '87... it's always been wack to me that they just started passing title reigns around like crazy. shyt changing every month, sometimes in less than a month. Understandably, wrstling moves at a faster pace now than it used to. But I always felt like they guy who gets the top belt should mean he's gonna be the man for a while. Not just winning it to pass it back and forth with another MF 2-3 times in the course of 4 months. That's why we now have people who've held it 10 times and shyt, just because. I am kinda glad they've slowed down on that every month title changing, it was gettin' outta hand for a minute there.

As far as some of these title reigns, they’re mostly a blur for me. Orton and Cena combine for almost 30 World title reigns, yet I hardly remember the feuds that led to them
