Timbaland really had crickets chirping, panning from left ear to right, the whole "One in a Million"

I got Timbaland Top 10 Hip Hop producer and one of the best overall music producers ever for the following reasons.

1) He started a real movement. People use that term loosely, but after redefining Aaliyah's sound with One In A Million, his sound snow balled into Ginuwine and Missy blowing up. Timbaland & Magoo had a gold single and platinum album. People were copping soundtracks and those joints were going double platinum off the strength of "Are You That Somebody" and "Try Again". He had people copping albums from Petey Pablo and Bubba Sparxxx on the strength of a Timbaland production. Same goes for Nicole Wray. Then he legitimized Justin Timberlake as a solo Pop act and redefined Nelly Furtado's sound as well. On top of this, he was one of the most sought out producers.

2) As mentioned, the innovation. From crickets to laughing babies to using Middle Eastern and Indian samples. The drum programming was also innovative.
