Tebow is the one lying here.

Remember that round table on ESPN with Jaws, Hoge, and Schefter?

Schefter was the one that said "I spoke to Tebow last night..." and went on to say that Tebow did indeed say he didn't want to be involved anymore because he was frustrated, but then later had a change of heart on Friday, but by then it was too late and the game plan for the week had already been set.

So Schefter reported that Tebow directly told him one thing, and now Tebow is trying to contradict his own original story with one that doesn't tarnish his image.

Tebow is 8-6 in his career as a starting QB.

There are a lot better arguments to be made for why he should not be starting than pointing out his record as a QB.

He's had enough time to show his worth as a starter in this league and he's just not there.. no signs of improvement. His accuracy is still terrible. He's a backup at best.

I feel the same about Vince Young. He's 31-19 and has actually proved more on the field than Tebow has.. but he really isn't a starter either.

yessir

in 72 hours Tebow has given 2 different accounts and Rex Ryan has contradicted both accounts.

And all their statements were supposed to make Tebow look good. :russ:

Dude is so full of shyt, just a shame the MSM dont want to accept it.

This is definitely on the #ITWAN list.

I agree, I would definitely not want Tebow starting for MY team. But you got dudes in this thread saying that he is not even worthy of being in the league :rudy: I'm not saying that he is the sole reason the Broncos got to the playoffs last year, but there is no way a Quarterback who isn't NFL caliber (starter OR benchwise) takes a team to the playoffs let alone the 2nd round

Saying Tebow doesn't belong in the league is a stretch but at that point.. who cares? Do we really want to argue about who is qualified to be a backup or even a 3rd string QB?

Is Tebow better than Hoyer? Who the fukk knows and more importantly.. who cares in my view.

People say shyt like "Tebow doesn't deserve to be in the league" because they are sick of hearing about him or maybe they are leftover haters from his glory days at Florida.. take your pick. I don't think people make those statements because they want to argue whether Tebow is better than Austin Davis.

If you've never heard of Austin Davis than that right there tells you how stupid a debate like that would be.

I agree with Trip in that the Jets skewed this story as a way to get back at Tebow. McElroy being third string was mainly due to the shyt he said last year, so it wouldn't be too far fetched to believe the Jets would do this to Tim.

Get ready for "The Crucifixion of Tim Tebow" articles to be popping up sometime soon.

Of course the ATL
Yea it's true. Tebow fukked up, but he & his team mismanaged his position from the jump. Tebow thought he was gonna come into NY & totally take over the team at some point this year, but it never happened, not even close. I believe the Jets account morseo than Tebow b/c Tebow's closer to being outta the league than either Rex or Tannebaum

What I don't understand is the agenda based NY posters on here who keep trying to discredit what Tebow did last yr as a starting QB. it's a stupid argument made by reactionary posters

Doesn't matter, get the hate out of your blood. Same defense, same offensive personnel, same everything, what was the difference between a that 1-4 team and the Broncos that actually got to the second round of the playoffs :rudy:

I'm trying to understand why you guys hate this guy so much. Yes he is unconventional and no I would not want to have him on my team, but we're really gonna try to act like he didn't lead a team in to the second round of the playoffs in his first season as a starter? :mindblown:

But he "lead" his team to victory by completing TWO PASSES! TWO! Stop acting like he "led" that team anywhere.

Sucks because I doubt he wants it to be this way but Tebow is a cancer and will be a cancer to any organization that he goes to from now on.

And this is a greater point that a lot of people in the media will never mention. This dude is a major distraction and is a cancer. The media and Tebowmania idiots are the major culprit for this but Tebow doesnt ever try to shut it down because it benefits him.

But that does not mean dude is a bad person, he obviously isnt, but his presence in any locker room is a problem.

My whole thing with Tebow and the media tho is I wish the same standards he gets, gets applied to other athletes. ON the Redskins message board, someone tried to say that Tebow is a great person and doesnt invite any of this and is a great person because of his charity work (and even linked some stories). His point was to show the difference between Tebow the person and Cam the person. I linked charity work Cam had done, including spending Christmas Eve with kids in a hospital, and dude dismissed it as Cam cutting a check and wanting attention. Now thats a WHOLE 'NOTHER level of sickness I dont want to get into, but Tebow gets all the benefit of a doubt and all the props which a lot of other athletes, and even people, do not.

To me Tebow still got a raw deal in the end....we all know what kind of QB he is. We all know his skillset is limited. But whatever you can say about him he was a winning quarterback when he started. And he was able to make big plays in the 4th quarter which is a rarity corny as it sounds :manny:. Look at Vince Young. While he was starting the only good thing you could say about him was that he was winning. Same with Tebow. Vince got kept around till he started losing and why not? You take wins however you can get them in the NFL. Why not give Tebow the same chance to keep winning until he's a proven loser? If not then Tebow fans will always be able to say he was a winner that got ran out of the league without being given a fair shot. And I see their point :yeshrug:

Vince Young never had a losing season as a starting QB but that shyt didn't matter with him.
