From a guy that could do this:

This guy gave both Wilt and Kareem a rough time on D. Still didn't touch the fade away.

Wilt is the goat and is the most dominant player ever regardless of time period:yeshrug:.

Prime Wilt would average damn near 40-20 in today's league. I truly believe it. I'm been in so many arguments about Wilt over the years. You wouldn't believe no many people tell me he was just a product of playing against white midgets:snoop:.

Dude was on anomaly among anomalies. The true definition of a freak

Wilt was so dominant the rules had to be changed to make things tougher for him

The rules were changed to make things easier for MJ

don't forget these facts
NBA couldn't stand the Pistons dominating everyone with hard defense.

Then later the league got rid of hand checking.

:beli:

They took Iverson's crossover but act like Kobe @ Lebron don't travel all day.

As the story goes Chamberlain tried many different ways of shooting free throws in order to improve his atrocious free throw percentage. Standing all over the free throw half circle, going off center, dunking them (which rules prohibited as soon as he tried it) etc it's hilarious if you look at his free throw form throughout the years how drastically it changes often for the worse. He even tried underhanded free throws for a few seasons, and saw a shrink provided by the team to try and fix his mind about it (as he could be seen shooting at least 7 for 10 in an open gym). He finally drew the line when a coach suggested he try that fade away shot from the free throw line. He said "I draw enough attention to myself at the line already".

Can you imagine him shooting fade away free throws? Also a lot of people who see the vid are baffled why he never tried this shot at the line either:

@dantheman9758 just admit you're Bob Ryan so I can stop wondering breh

:salutes:
Not Bob Ryan, but I wouldn't mind picking his brain I saw an interview where he described the draft picks some random season in the 60's and 70's. Knew about guys that didn't even end up having pro careers. I don't think anyone can really know an era unless they have a good understanding of everyone in the league top to bottom, even the prospects who couldn't make it.

I remember debating with somebody on here about 2 years ago regarding the "Dirk" fadeaway. I told the muscle headed niqqa that Wilt was the first 7 footer that I saw doing the so called "Dirk". The "Dirk" is really the "Wilt", but you know how thIngs go, the new generation behave like they invented it all. It's just recycled brehs. Pay homage to Wilt da Gawd. @dantheman9758 thank you for providing the proof for my claim.

Not really Dirks is clearly different,he rocks back and sticks the knee out..Wilt didnt have to do all that cuz he was being guarded by much smaller players that had no hope in hell of blocking him...He was 7-3 and his release point was much higher...
