I thought it was the House Committee of Energy and Commerce?This has nothing to do with the national security committee which is the (most) bi partisan committee questioning TikTok. You're not wrong regarding the threat of AI but it's a complete strawman argument. And they aren't "playing grandstanding with this tik tok guy doing nothing really". Really weird way to describe this hearing.

Yeah it looks like these cats there in those videos (if you go to the members tab):I must have heard them describe that committee as ‘a national security committee’, because a congressman (i think georgia) said that verbatim. Facts are facts though.

Either way -- Google, Meta, Twitter, Pinterest, Reddit, YouTube, Snapchat, and so on are all banned in China. We should have banned TikTok years ago.
