Yeah, congrats on that next gen Mowgli, friend meant to mention it in Bioshock thread.@ your plans for him though, it's good you have your son's future in mind I guess.

Amazon.com: EVGA GeForce GTX TITAN SuperClocked Signature 6GB GDDR5 384-Bit, Dual-Link DVI-I, DVI-D, HDMI,DP, SLI Ready Graphics Card 06G-P4-2793-KR: Electronics
Not even the older ones are less than 1000$
I seriously doubt the price will drop in range of the mid tier graphics cards anytime soon
im a PS gamer mostly, i got a 1, 2 and 3. i never owned a xbox and only recently started PC gaming. but real talk, I dont get caught up in console wars because if we are talking performance and power, PC will always win. always has always will. and now with devs moving towards mutliplatform titles and away from exclusives there is less and less really setting consoles apart from PCs. thats really why im not to excited about PS4, because there doesn't really seem to be a whole lot distinguishing it from PCs. you say Sony has better games, but we all know that multiplatform titles are becoming the norm, and PC is getting almost every major title that gets released nowadays. its not like the 90s where console games could only be played on consoles, these days console exclusives are far less common and PC gaming is far more accessible.
wii-u has them nintendo exclusives and that tablet controller, xbox seemingly is going to have augmented reality, but PS4 just seems like its gonna be a high end console and a high end console is the equivalent of a mid level PC, especially if PC gets all the big games anyway.
Thats why this is a debate between console owners not pc people. You guys have your own thing and are willing to pay more every few years to stay on the cutting edge. Im not. 1 expensive graphics card will not carry you through an entire console gen. Its more money than im willing to spend. What you spend in graphics cards, i spend in a gaming library.
you also save a lot of money buying games for pc though
It evens out for people who want to play their games on ultra with no slowdown for the next ten years
i guess so. i've never been one to go top of the line though. the best value is always 1 step down
Which brings you even closer to the power of PS4.![]()
next time i upgrade (early next year) the 2nd best will probably still smoke the ps4![]()
Not by a difference that will make you feel ely trusuperior. For ps4 fans Itll be like coming in 3rd place in an Olympic 100 yd dash. Negligable.
that's fukkin rediculous
I love these threads.
As an XBot. I'll say that if the PS4 drops first, and I'm feeling the controller and the online experience. I'm going to cop one.
Why wouldn't I?
Sidebar: (looks at thread title) why can't pc gamers just shut the fukk up for once. We don't care how superior your shyt is. This is coming from a sys/network admin/consultant. We get it. We understand the technology and terminology. We just don't care.
