It's not even the high budget stuff backed by the streaming platforms. Even the shows produced for local TV has disappointed so far. I was watching Uncle and it started great, but it devolved into some petty housewife shyt in the 2nd half and it became a chore to watch. Bad and Crazy is the only show that hasn't disappointed me so far, but I wouldn't say it's a must watch at all. It's fun, but I don't need to catch it every week. I have no desire in any of the romcom shyt that's been out lately - Our Beloved Summer, Twenty Five Twenty One, Rookie Cops, etc.

For me, Squid Game, Space looking for water show and now this Zombie school joint have all been disappointing with huge budgets. The scripts are very basic with the standard fare of cinematography and settings. Scripts drive the work. One day im going to talk about homogeneous style of acting in Korean cinema.

Any show that revolves around romance or housewives tend to devolve into forced drama across 14 episodes.

Perfect example is Smile Behind your Eyes, this show has an interesting concept but the focus on romance ruins that. Romance is not enough to sustain a show. I should go back to Red Shoes, the show that hires stunt doubles for hugging

:laff:

If you're looking for a show to watch I recommend Mother starring Lee Bo-Young. Don't watch a trailer go in blind.

Life on Mars was dope, ending was happy & sad at the same time if my theory is right.

Just started Snowdrop (1 hour 30 Min per episode:huhldup:) but this has got to be 1 of the most expensive K-Dramas made right?

Production levels are pretty insane.

Jesus Christ.:picard:

That's exactly why I stopped watching Hometown Cha Cha. Each episode was nearly the length of a movie and nothing was really happening

The score on Snowdrop is pure fire, Koreans with them piano keys are something else :whew:

For some reason it reminded me off Cowboy Bebop Balled of a fallen angels

Is the show any good besides the constant thrusting of loins

No not really. This is adapted from a manga so all of the long pauses, shock of holding hands with camera close ups and predictable arcs are all present. I'm at the end of episode 3 and am going to throw this into the bushes.

For those who haven’t seen it , check out flower of evil , it’s a crime mystery thriller with some really good twists and turns and no romance .
