Blacks in America especially those with advanced skills in various trades, IT, etc can make a killing doing consulting work in Africa, specifically countries like Ghana, Nigeria etc. I have spent the last 6 years in Nigeria, just came back to Chicago to do my masters and I'm telling ya'll there's money to be made there.

Next time my dad heads out to Nigeria I'm gonna try to go to visit. Never been out to the motherland, but shyt...gotta be better than this stuff I can't take in this other land.

Nipsey talking about going to africa. 4:50

@2Quik4UHoes
@*F*U*N*E*R*A*L*
@Don Drogo
@King-Over-Kingz
@Wild self

note: He's the artist with the $100 dollar CD, and the smarts to stay independent. How many rappers do you think told him he was crazy for doing the $100 CD promotion? But since he studied business and knew how the market worked, and had a different outlook, he made it happen regardless. In the other part of the interview he talks about how he had a different outlook on life and how it transferred over to business. He's not like most dudes trying to get rich quick and end up slaves to labels, this dude is hella elusive.

Quiet as kept I'm bout to meet this nikka at the end of the month, my cousin open up for him in D.C. that shyt got me hype. :mindblown:

Anybody in DC on the 25th hit up Howard Theater for the show a nikka might hit the stage....:youngsabo:

But anyway yeah, Nipsey is a prime example of the difference in mentality I mean the breh is Habesha so I kinda had a feeling he'd have the :mjpls: towards them industry snakes cuz our community heavy when it comes to entertainment, promotion, etc so we wouldn't really need the industry like that if someone wanted to do music. Akon is another great example of an African makin moves.

Nah, I don't listen to dude like that tho but damn I suppose that's part of why him and Nip so cool. :ohhh:
Both of them are half AA, half east african. There's a lot of us half AA, half africans over in the crenshaw, J's areas. I told you there were a lot of ethiopians and congolese in the area that decided to move away from their typical neighborhoods (lil ethiopia, ingelwood etc). Usually cause they wanted to do business around AAs rather than immigrants.

Make sure to take pics on the concert. :myman:

obv you start off working with a company, looking for work much like you would here. If you have a U.S degree and you're american, you're pretty much gold over there. From there, you find a wife, and get residency. You do realize people do this ALL the time right? :wtf:

I support your idea bruh.

I've been to a few countries in Africa myself.

I think its best for there to be a sizable number of African Americans in Africa while at the same time maintaining a presence here in America also. That way African Americans in the states can use our political power to lobby for the interest of African countries like the Jews here do for Israel.If you think about it all of the harsh draconian trade and economic policies implemented on African countries come from the west like the IMF,WTO,oil companies diamond companies etc all are based either here in America or somewhere in Europe but most of the time they are based in America.

Effective change will come when political pressure is placed on the bankers, IMF, WTO and the world bank who call the shots in Africa from the west.

The six countries in Africa I went to provided me with insight on the importance of preserving identity culture and traditions.Walking around talking to the people opened my eyes by helping me understand how these multinational corporations are really exploiting the people.

For example: Countries like Senegal Mali Tanzania all have evil blood sucking bankers who live in America comfortably while the people in those countries are suffering due to them corporate vampires. One African told me that if he had a chance to visit America he would expose these bankers oil company owners by protesting in front of their houses businesses or even going to the U.N which is right in America I believe.

So that's the reason why I think there needs to be a sizable number of African Americans present in America to make effective change in different west African countries.

Do it man. My dad is Nigerian so the thing that helped me was going out there to visit every now and then. It made the transition much easier. Plus once the ladies know you're American, its open season :shaq:

But on a serious note, there are lots of business opportunities there for the taking. You'll come back here with a whole different perspective..

first off. I do business in africa - a work visa is free for you as that is covered by the company you work for, even if you're starting up your own business, its no more than $200, when you file for tax, you can file under FEIE and if anything you get a tax RETURN, not owe the U.S money. I've been doing this for 3 years, and have yet to actually owe money to the U.S govt, nor do I have to pay taxes in the country that I'm in.

Some folks just don't even file, and claim they earned nothing, depending if they got the work visa or not, in places like africa, where you can bribe, there are MANY ways to go around shyt like this.

No one is derailing shyt, you're crying about how you're treate in the U.S as if that's going to change anything meanwhile I'm telling folks they don't have to endure it, there are options abroad.

He might be talking about this: http://www.irs.gov/Individuals/International-Taxpayers/Expatriation-Tax

When you give up your US citizenship you're still obligated to file your taxes to the IRS. It's a stupid/insane law.

Yea I know about the law, it's especially if you work in europe, japan etc, but a place like Mexico, Philippines, China there's ways around it

This law was in place because of thousands of contractors in the M.E (Dubai, Iraq, Afghan, Israel etc), and outsourcing firms (asia) that were working abroad and not claiming because they were technically abroad. They were making 6 figures, and taking home gross. The law targets them, and folks like walmart oversea management, Obama implemented it to discourage outsourcing so american workers can have jobs.

There are ways to exempt tho, esp if the company has no contract with the U.S or the govt flat out has no 'connection', ei China, NK, Cuba etc.
