It depends what parts of Africa you are talking about.

I can see Ghana, Tanzania, Kenya, Rwanda and Botswana leading the charge for African world powers. They would have to fix politic instabilities, corruption and human rights issues first. Yet, I really believe the aforementioned countries will be the first of many to rise in Black Africa.

Countries like Nigeria, DRC, Angola, Ethiopia and Cameroon are also key to African global empowerment but they have a large amount of problems which must be rectified very deeply. It’s not impossible but it would be some real work.

Africa is full of young people who are hungry to change the world. As others have said tech is about to boom and lastly, there is a growing desire to nation build in the diaspora. I’m Zimbabwean. Zim in its current state is a dumpster fire but it can be rectified with good governance and a strong economy.

I’d love to build a tech startup in Botswana or Mozambique first then move business into Zim to replenish the country. Then I’d expand into other parts of Africa. It’s work but it’s possible.

What is meant by “developed”? There are no commodities in western nations that cannot be obtained in many African nations. At a higher price/cost potentially, but still.

I don’t equate concrete jungles with development. Meaning the lack of skyscrapers and the existence of trees and fields of brown soil in their place doesn’t mean a country is not developed.

The same issues that plague African countries; corruption, wealth disparity/distribution, tribalism, hunger, lack of adequate infrastructure and public transport, affordable housing, adequate and affordable medical care - these are the same issues that you find in so called developed countries.

I do hope African nations can become more self sufficient in the future

Just want to let y'all know that this is not a :mjpls: post and I didn't make it. A lot of the comments in that post are even defending Africa. This is just something that I saw that I think it's interesting.
Bringing Reddit post here is :mjpls::mjpls: you saw what the sticky said

If you've never been to an African country, then your take on this is useless. Been to Ghana three times, Nigeria twice, and Gabon and I will tell you that there are many areas in those countries that make America look 3rd world.

Tech has boomed and the health care system there has drastically improved since the past 20 years.
I’m happy you said it before I did I was About to go off.

i think Rwanda is close. Kagame has done a lot to pull his Country up

It's possible, but unlikely because the standard for what's considered developed changes over time. So even if a handful of African countries make major progress, they still wouldn't catch up to the "developed" world since those countries aren't stagnant, they're always improving.

With that said, I think there are a handful of countries that could make significant progress improving infrastructure and enacting policies that promote stability and growth. If they do that, they'll attract more investments, boost their GDP, and raise the standard of living for their people.

Kindly and concisely define fuly developed..

You mean Africans should help create more useless earth polluting and destroying technologies..for the benefir of what exactly?

China is supposed to be developed, but all their rivers are toxic polluted and you needed a face mask to go outside long before covid.
To answer your question, yes. There will be a fully developed African country in the future.

Except as breh said, they will pollute the continent and exploit their neighbors to the highest degree. Expect a lot of innocent people to die and forced into slavery during its development.

For a country to develop in current times, the stakes are higher than they’ve been in a long time. In this neoliberal capitalist world they would have to challenge imperialist empires and become one themselves.

Yes.

All you need is a few countries to take the lead, and the smaller African countries can follow behind.

Similar to how the United States leads the way, and other white countries follow behind.

As Africa rises - the cost of living in the west will rise.

Alot of people will be upset.

Hold this rep and end this thread. We done. :banderas:

Africa is developed as is we just need better home grown leaders to harness our strengths. The ones we have now are addicted to money/loans and are quick to sell out for a buck. I actually live here. The path is there. We actually have the resources. A sustainable path too, not this unsustainable road the West is on. If they dont ruin it for us we will get to where we need to be. We dont pollute the Earth. We have learned to live nsync with it. So bye bye bye with all your metaverse carbon petro dollar polluting capitalistic trash ass disneyland vegas invade iraq invade libya invade afghanistan war profiteering racist bullshyt. If thats the peak of developement for you then enjoy cacland, stfu, and lets have climate change kill us all faster. damn brainwashed morons.:rudy:

No they wouldn’t, bro sit this one out you’ve never even been to Africa. Rwanda alone has shown that it’s more than possible. Now weather you agreed with kagame methods is a different matter

what would help most of these countries is them ditching capitalism and switching to socialism that along would improve infrastructure and create actual viable programs

imperialisms is about expansion, they don’t need to expand what they need is self sustenance and maintainability especially without outside influence. Completely different

If they can get away from the "resource trap" and properly leverage trade deals with China without becoming essentially vassal states to it, then...yes

South Africa is probably the closest to a "developed" country.
