Clearly ya'll are the ones that want to make the comparison, every Jordan/Bron thread is created by insecure Jordan stans who post about Bron more than the cats that like him. The fact remains though, Jordan played in the weakest era in NBA history. That's indisputable.

That Bulls team won 55 games and went 7 against the eventual conference champs. You acting like they flamed out in the first round :heh: Jordan stans love the Kukoc excuse. Kukoc was a rookie, how does he account for losing the GOAT? The Bulls went down to the wire in a game 7 against the Knicks without Jordan. Pippen didn't even have a Pippen, the Bulls win a championship that season if Pippen has an all-NBA sidekick just like Jordan did.

2015 Cavs didn't have Kyrie for much of the playoffs and Love missed the entirety of the playoffs. The 2015 Cavs that Bron played most of the playoffs with doesn't make the playoffs without him. That 2018 still made the finals, of course they lost to one of the GOAT teams.. it was Bron with no all-stars vs. the monstars. Both the 2015 and 2018 Cavs beat 60 win teams in the East but ya'll love to talk about how trash the East was. Why isn't that logic extended to MJ's Bulls beating up on weak 60 win teams?
The 1994 Bulls won 55 games but what about the 1995 Bulls, how many games did they win before MJ returned for the final 17 games?

nikkas really love excusing Bron for losing to the Warriors like they were some unbeatable team :hhh:

Kawhi with a washed Lamarcus Aldridge as his sidekick was blowing them the fukk out in 2017 before Zaza and known playoff chokers Harden and CP3 had them on the ropes in 2018

Surely the so called GOAT should've taken more than 1 measly game?

Ya mans flamed out the 1st time with the Cavs when Boston took his heart and we said keep going

Ya mans formed a Heatles super team and had a failed dynasty and we said keep going

Ya mans returned to the Cavs with another super team and let Curry and ‘em beat him in 3 out of 4 finals and we said keep going

Ya mans formed a failed super team with AD and Russ and we said keep going

We on 20 years of grading Lebron on a curve and he still can’t claim the goat spot from Mike. MJ was drafted on a shytty team, got his ass assaulted by the bad boys and stood still. I’m ready to move on
took a shytty cavs team to the finals the same age jordan was getting spanked in the first round

won back to back chips with heat

won a championship in Cleveland after beating the GOAT regular season team

won a championship with AD at the age of 36

20 years in and still a top 10 player in the league without having to quit twice

Surely the so called GOAT should've won a single game against the 1980s Celtics? Only team Jordan faced on the Warriors level and he got swept twice.

All these things are the reason Lebron is #2 all time but none of them put him above Mike and he’s 20 years in.

The fact it ain't universally accepted LeBron the top dog the second he broke that record means he ain't the top dog. Sports/life is funny like that. It's never all about the numbers. It'd be easier if it was.

Jordan is simply too rooted in popular culture to not be the sport's defacto icon.

The more connections to something = the more memorable. That's scientific fact.

Jordan got that: shoes, brand, imagery, highlights, pictures, aesthetics, etc.

You hear brands/teams and keywords like "Bulls", "hangtime", etc. you think of Jordan.

Dude even broke the record while his kids were in attendance wearing Jordan's.

Jordan can even come out and say LeBron is the better player and it wouldn't change anything.

The reason why basketball culture looks the way it does today is because of Michael Jordan, who still owns the record by a long shot for NBA Finals ratings.

Low key a pointless debate really.

Basically.

Fans and media put out arbitrary goals that players have to reach before it could happen. But then move the goalpost once it happens and theyve thought about it. Lebron could win six and fans and media would still think back to watching Jordan play and say "He still aint better than Jordan:wow:". And rightfully so,numbers aint the end all be all.

MJ wasn't heralded as the GOAT in 86 and he wasn't in his prime. Bron was

Nice try though

1. You said they wouldn’t even make the playoffs, now it’s all this extra shyt. Lol ok. Here I’ll fix it for you Kyrie and Love (IF HEALTHY) and that supporting cast make the playoffs, specially in that sad ass east

2. Having multiple All stars does not = Championship. See Lebron James and company for proof 🙂. I know someone who won a chip without any all stars, do you ?🙂 It takes an elite nikka to bring a chip home consistently. I can 100 percent guarantee a nikka that gets mad because he doesn’t get the ball in a crucial playoff game, refuses to play, isn’t leading anybody to any fukking championship.

3. What Kukoc excuse, I simply stated what they added from that 93 team. The roster was in tact, the system was in tact, Pip was there, Coach was there. Do not blame the bulls for setting up a stable environment. Lebron had his chance at that in Miami but bounced.

4. The Bulls lost in 6, there was no game 7

5. The league expanded but so what, the elite teams were still elite, you acting like Mike played the expansion teams in his playoff runs , they were a non factor. Please stop.

6. Back to the team win stat. You and I both know there are only maybe 3-4 teams ever year that will win a chip. I told you last post, Team wins is not a barometer for success. A few years back when that Atlanta Hawks team won like 60 games, did anybody think they were going ever do anything ? If the Golden stare Warriors , who right now are 28-28, went on a crazy run and win the chip … would you be surprised ? Mavs in 07 ?? Maybe 05 ?? ..had best record in the league, they lost to the 8th seed Warriors. Chips are hard to win.

7. Lebron has never left a championship WINNING team, with all the pieces from the previous year in tact. You’re doing what ifs and what could have beens …

Doesn't matter. He's the so called GOAT and he got swept back to back years in the first round. that was the only elite team he faced in his career and they aren't even close to the KD Warriors.

1. The team that Bron won multiple playoff series wouldn't make the playoffs, they weren't healthy when it mattered. Bron was out there hooping with Delly and Mozgov.

2. Lebron has too :manny: Not even sure what you're arguing. Jordan quit, the Bulls won 55 games and nearly advanced to the ECF. Pippen in one season won more without Jordan than Jordan ever won without Pippen. Give Pippen an actual sidekick to replace the GOAT and that team is the championship favorite. How does that not make you reconsider how much of a talent advantage the Bulls had over the rest of the league? I don't even have to lean on this hypothetical, we all saw how close the Bulls were with some scrub named Pete Myers replacing him in the starting lineup.

3. Kukoc was a rookie, he's a non-factor in the grand scheme of things when compared to the GOAT. His addition is meaningless when you lose Michael Jordan.

4. :dwillhuh: They went 7 against the Knicks and they would have won that series if they had an adequate replacement for Jordan.

5. :mjlol: Expansion had a profound effect on the state of the league, more than half the damn league had a record below .500 during Jordan's prime. Jordan was facing teams with Rik Smits and John Starks as sidekicks. Ya'll love to talk about Lebron facing Paul George and Demar Derozan/Kyle Lowry but look at who Jordan was facing. The East was the stronger conference in that era but the talent disparity was just as stark as it was during the Leastern conference era. The Knicks went 7 against the Bulls WITHOUT Jordan.

7. The Cavs won 61 games with Bron in 2010 and 19 games without him in 2011. Mo Williams, Anderson Varajeo, Antwan Jamison, Boobie Gibson, Anthony Parker, and JJ Hickson were on both squads. Only Bron and washed up Big Z who averaged 7 PPG were replaced.
