Not spoiling anything, but Uncut Gems is a great action-packed movie where while Sandler's character is the ultimate degenerate, you find yourself pulled into his bad decisions and wanting him to win. Sandler, the directors, and the supporting cast all did great jobs, and the choices of the NYC backdrop were well done.

Screener season is off to a great start. Can't wait to see these
  • 21 Bridges
  • A Beautiful Day In The Neigbourhood (meh, but might be well-acted by Hanks)
  • Ford vs Ferrari
  • Frozen 2 (saw it in the movies, cool movie for kids, but not as great as the first one, as I've been told)
  • Joker (will finally take the time to watch it)
  • Knives Out (gotta see what Daniel Craig did with this)
  • Motherless Brooklyn
  • Queen & Slim (hadn't had time to see in theatre; will make time on my couch)
  • The Report (I'm in)

Which movies can we expect to leak?
  • 21 Bridges
  • 1917
  • A Beautiful Day In The Neigbourhood
  • A Hidden Life
  • Cats
  • Ford vs Ferrari
  • Frozen 2
  • Harriet
  • Honey Boy
  • Jojo Rabbit
  • Joker
  • Knives Out
  • Little Women
  • Lucy In The Sky
  • Motherless Brooklyn

When will they leak?
Likely starting mid December. But note that the first big titles didn’t leak until late December last year.

Out now...
Uncut Gems
Joker (not sure if dvd screener, but dvd quality (1080p) copies out)
Lucy In The Sky (not sure if dvd screener, but dvd quality (1080p) copies out)

why are you referring to 1080p as “DVD quality”?

DVD quality is like 480

1080p is essentially bluray quality
Not exactly, it can be upscaled and reconverted to 1080p, But if the source from which it was captured isn't natively 1080p you just get a blurry image.

And nah the resolution of the screener floating around is like somewhere between 480p-720p if you're being generous.

Do studios still send out physical screeners anymore? I thought critics view them on tablets and controlled devices now?
