That aired right after Roots had finished airing on ABC (Channel 7) to give y'all context.

LHotP was on Channel 2 (CBS).

Networks were battling for viewers.

EVERY network had something along those lines.​
Ahh... now it makes more sense.

Back then there was more competition for viewers so they were trying to pull audiences. Nowadays you have narrowcasting.

You guys notice how in shows and movies before the 80s, there was more dialogue? It always seemed like the actors would speak for longer periods of time when they didn't need to. He was asked one question and he was like: "Well, I would love to.....live long enough to get to such an age if such a thing was possible. I assume everybody would want to live to said age, and I for one, would definitely want to get to a point in my life where I could become that age you mentioned." :why:

I watched this episode multiple times and Jennette McCurdy never filmed that scene nude. Some weirdos edited that clip.

There's actual stuff from Dan Schneider that should be looked into. The Amanda Show alone would get people fired if it aired today.
