The N word on TV was actually more common in the 70s than people think.

There are episodes of the Jeffersons where the word was used (in tasteful context) and origianlly aired on network TV no problem, but has been censored in syndication today.

I think theres an old "Richard Pryor Show" skit or something written by Paul Mooney that used the word. And I think Sanford and Son had a few too. 70s TV was real on race for a minute.

And it wasn't the Richard Pryor Show, it was SATURDAY NIGHT fukkING LIVE. Chevy Chase and Pryor!



Damn, network TV was crazier back in the day than I thought!
