Very true indeed. If any black people are affected by this it should be black men going harder in this fight bc we are under represented and black women being empowered bc they already feel nobody notices them. Kids won't understand how deep this really is by not having a black man on it. They'll see that kid in the front fighting that looks just like them.Whilst I agree with a lot of this post, let’s not deny the power of imagery and perception. It has a huge affect on our mentality, especially on our impressionable youth.
In no way am I for the painter or the painting. This is merely what I hope black people get from this. We can't be blinded by hate and not see the bigger picture.
