Shouldn't there be a black man leading the charge tho...:patrice:
So much wrong with the cover.

No black man in sight. Single black mother. False Matriarchal revolution. Cac man in plain view. Agenda at its max
Eugène Delacroix’s “Liberty Leading the People,” the iconic 1830 painting that depicts a woman leading the French Revolution. “I wanted to create something in a similar vein that would have the same feeling.

He discusses the woman at the forefront of the illustration: “The people who were pushing for those changes were African American women,” he notes. “They are very much at the forefront in spearheading this change, so I thought it was very important for an African American woman to be at the very center of this painting, because they have very much been at the center of this movement.”

Perception is an interesting concept. I’ve seen Black women complaining on social media that they only use dark skinned women to depict matriarchy and strength. But I’m sure if the woman was light skinned, people would still complain saying they’re erasing dark skinned women.

However, if it was just a black man and his child, there would be complaints with women being erased.

My beef is, I’ve seen a concerted effort for decades to never portray a strong healthy black family. Be it in advertising, news, entertainment.. there’s either a broken home or dysfunction. This is by design and not coincidence.

In this cancel culture we live in today there's no way to do this without someone feeling a way about it. It was a huge task for him to come up with something.

I'm not upset bc it's a magazine cover of a publication most black people don't read. I'm more upset about there still being no law's to protect us, hold kkkops accountable for killing us or any answers to all of these lynchings they're calling suicides. fukk that magazine. That's a distraction that doesnt make any type of difference one way or the other.

So many psyops running against us at the moment.

All I can to say to my fellow brothers is stay aware and be ready for anything. I’m not liking the energy coming from all of this and that’s all I have to say.

So you saying that black men in America are gonna end like black men from Argentina?

Why does this thread bother you?

Because it's more divisive black men vs black women bullshyt on this forum? For no logical reason, besides your feelings being hurt that a black woman is leading...a protest...in 2020? Why is this even controversial unless you feel black men's place is to lead everything, patriarchy blah blah blah?

If it's about the "family image" again, what is wrong when THAT is the depiction of the average black family in America?

Whilst I agree with a lot of this post, let’s not deny the power of imagery and perception. It has a huge affect on our mentality, especially on our impressionable youth.

Cruisin’
We discussed this shyt ad nausem in another thread. But yeah you can see ALOT of symbolism in this shyt.

- Why the white boy the only wearing a proper mask while the others wearing associated with aggressive activity? (This is a bigger pic. Never noticed the breh on the bike had a proper mask..but still..)
- Why he under the flag with his fist up, making a V of sorts?
- Why there ain't a strong black male ANYWHERE in that bytch?
- That 'breh' in the back holding a sign saying "OUR lives matters" compromised as fukk.
- Why that kid in the front smiling when serious shyt going on?
- Why the black woman wearing a red white and blue flag kerchief around her damned neck instead of a grey or black one?
-Why the artists chose to put an actual hand obscuring the Black fist vector logo??

It's still, fukk this shyt. Women and children WILL NOT BE LEADING THE fukkING CHARGE come any war situation, man. They purposefully ommitance of any black figure of power or authority was more than likely deliberately set in this fukk ass picture. I've no problem with strong women, I've no problem with kids down for the cause, but best believe me and ANY OTHER black man would have them besides us, not in front.

Again, fukk this cover.
Great points made.
