So you're implying that the two in the front are the ones leading the battle over the death of their husband/father? If they were characters in a story with an already established lore, with names that were already given, then that would have been quite fine. But the fact that who ever commissioned this shyt made sure to show no powerful, threatening, proud, defiant black men in this fight....FOR BLACK, fukkING PEOPLE....is not something anyone who cares about this shyt should simply gloss over.
And to the folk saying "I'm seeing Black men
" Y'all can't be talking about them docile caricatures on the left? A black man, in a multiracial crowd holding a sign (With a weird looking lip, I might add. He biting that shyt?
) saying "OUR" on that shyt automatically includes ERRYONE in the fukking crowd which is basically a covert way of shoehorning "All lives matter" without saying it explicitly.The other brother on his knees consoling Logic Lamar for his own reasons looking down like he prolly trying not to cry too with his shades on, with the only other actual brother all the way in the back, with his face obscured...by the head of another protester, deliberately I might add because the artist had to DRAW said person as opposed to having his face blocked out by natural placement like one would find in a photograph taken without direction.
Couple all of that shyt with the Black Fist Vector sign being obscured and some crude effigy on the far right that almost looks like a "BLM" and you got all the symbolism you need for this shyt.
I got no problem with women and kids down for the cause, but let's not act like they're gonna be on the front lines alone if Black folk gotta actually start fighting back with Fist and Fire. I'd forgive it even if they had a strong looking pre-teen black kid on the front, not that little smiling homey that instantly takes away any seriousness you should have for him up at the front, grinning like they going out to go play Soldier or some shyt.
You can call these reaches, and I'm not gonna act like I'm some sort of super perspective militant cat, but when you see it and what they blocked out of it and omitted on purpose, it should piss you off as a black person, male or female.
