People change; we're forever growing. I don't believe in fighting that change. If there's enough love, respect, and compassion for each other, you'll still be able to compliment each others personality traits without stunting your growth. People get married thinking the aforementioned (love, respect etc) is something that automatically comes with marriage. They don't understand that it is something you constantly work to keep.
who knows. I feel like I would be the wife that my partner deserves now that I've learned from my past mistakes. And unfortunately, it did take that divorce to teach me those things. On the other hand, like I said, I am confident that I can truly give someone a great forever this time around.
so the passion won't die this time?

Nah I'm too old for that. I plan on getting married if it makes sense not just to say I'm married.

I did.... but I was living in the day to day, and I think I went with what I thought I 'should' do since we had been together so long.

No. In life, what I want most is to be happy. If I settle, that doesn't translate to happiness...just ensures that I'm not "lonely" which is less important to me.
