All Kendrick fans can do is wave around ticket sales. Not radio spins or streams or anything showing people are LISTENING to this shyt. Drake and 21 STOLE the Lil Baby show a few weeks ago. We know they got the streets ON LOCK. I’ve been across the country in the last month and it’s played EVERYWHERE.

I ain’t heard a SINGLE Kendrick song from the lounge, to the restaurant to the club to the fukkin radio. NOTHING.

You mean like the 40mil monthly streams Kendrick has on Spotify, which is more than every rapper except the boy, Em, and Kanye?

I can’t help but feel this album he just made is him telling us to stop taking him that damn seriously

I feel like people didn't listen to the album if they came away from it thinking Kendrick is buying into his own hype and becoming more pretentious. There's literally a song on the album where he talks about not being anyone's savior, and then the album ends with him saying that he was busy saving himself. "Like me when I'm pro black/But I'm more Kodak Black" was a line he said. I'm pretty sure he hates that people look at him as this godlike intellectual when he's spent the last couple years figuring his life out like the rest of us have.

I don’t know anyone listening. My barber. My friends. Any women. Etc. no one from school group chats. Nothing.

It’s GOTTA be white people.

What does it mean to be an artist in Kendrick’s sense?

He’s not “IDK” or TYLER

He’s not Common

If anything without Videos what is he? Just a spoken word J Cole from Compton? He’s not Jay Electronica or Chance or Vic. He’s not Lil Baby or 6Lack or Wale.

Kendrick is not a better rapper than BIG KRIT!!
See I was with you until you said Lil Baby bro lol, I know you don't believe that

Those others you mentioned are dope in their own right but didn't make the impact Kendrick did, although Tyler is in that conversation

Common is from a different era than everyone else you named so I'm not including him

Yeah Kendrick not being better than Lil Baby, Wale and 6lack is crazy lol.

Kendrick definitely better than them even if I probably listen to baby and 6lack way more. Wale complete trash tho.

We also need to attribute some of Kendrick's impact to Interscope. He's the second biggest artist there after Em and we all seen how they move.

One thing I noticed about Kendrick, is when Big Steppers was coming out, I was listening to all his old shyt again, and a lot of that shyt sounds super cringey today with the alien voices and shyt. A lot of this guys whole shtick is hype.
