Breh took a break from providing free legal analysis for Tory Lanez to shyt on Kendrick for the one millionth time over the last decade, with the same tired arguments. Plenty of Drake stans are cool and don't really have any hate (or any feelings) towards Kendrick but there will always be that one bitter group. Angry that Kendrick (and Cole) have stood on their squares with integrity and consistency while your mans has chased every trend and every hot artist for clout. Kendrick went hard left twice, to varying degrees of success, without losing momentum or taking an L. At this point he's successfully positioned himself as a premier rap artist who can do massive tours with each album because his catalog is simply that good.

I get it. You thought a dark skinned, short ass Compton dude who rapped too fast would fall off. You thought he'd be doing 3,000 person capacity shows by now, after the release of GKMC 2. You thought Drake would have been able to get off a bar of something like like "we still on top while you doing the House Of Blues, damn nikka what happen to you." It pains you that this nikka is still in the conversation, still going platinum, still selling out arenas, and still That Dude. And you still mad that he knew, long before DJ Drama and Meek and Quentin, that your idol was using ghostwriters. He told the world in 2015.
:mjlol: :russ:

Ironically they're cool. Drake went to both of Kendrick's shows in Toronto a few months ago. So the only people bitter and crying are yall - er specifically, our resident Indian legal expert.

To me, they're even. Drake the better rapper, Kendrick the better artist

One other concern is that I haven't seen pgLang do anything outside of Kendrick and Keem. Both are doing well, they made a shyt ton of money on that tour that just ended (probably grossed at least 80-90mil). But this doesn't really seem like a label to me. They aren't signing people, Kendrick isn't doing interviews, there is no "crew" vibe, I don't get it.
They signed that dude on the title track, Tanna Leone. He put out a project in the spring, wasn't bad. I do agree they need to do more in the public eye, should've promoted their albums more

do i genuinely agree with all the accolades kendrick gets? not really. he is a little overrated. but do i understand why he gets those accolades? absolutely. his peers are shallow and forgettable in the grand scheme of things. by default he is head and shoulders above them. this is a weak era and he is one of the few mainstream artists who also has some substance to match the showmanship.

drake is beloved by 35 year old men who feel high school was their peak.

This is untrue but since most of these guys ain’t write 3 whole consecutive paragraphs in the last 5 years or read a book or article in the last 1-2 years then I feel like I shouldn’t be lectured by goofies who can’t hang in an actual convo.

You see what happens when these guys talk about anything useful
I have yet to see you big up any artists that actually have something to say :unimpressed:

aubrey stans forever in shambles that their cornball king will never be the dude of his gen like kendrick no matter how many million records he streams and sells :pachaha:
Bruh none of the mainstream outlets like Drake. Idk where y’all are getting this from. The guy gets shyt on from white hipsters and their 2 black friends who think they know what “rap should sound like” just to pretend this shyt is more cerebral than it is. Kendrick is just not good at this.

All Kendrick fans can do is wave around ticket sales. Not radio spins or streams or anything showing people are LISTENING to this shyt. Drake and 21 STOLE the Lil Baby show a few weeks ago. We know they got the streets ON LOCK. I’ve been across the country in the last month and it’s played EVERYWHERE.

I ain’t heard a SINGLE Kendrick song from the lounge, to the restaurant to the club to the fukkin radio. NOTHING.

It wasn't GKMC. It was Butterfly

After TPAB's reception and it becoming this past decades voice of protest and black social dynamics Kendrick leaned all the way into being a walking African American studies syllabus
People forget.

It was Mike brown and Tamir rice and Eric garner in 2014 then he leaned in that winter and dropped early the following year in 2015 and has been the BLM de rigueur ever since

What does it mean to be an artist in Kendrick’s sense?

He’s not “IDK” or TYLER

He’s not Common

If anything without Videos what is he? Just a spoken word J Cole from Compton? He’s not Jay Electronica or Chance or Vic. He’s not Lil Baby or 6Lack or Wale.

Kendrick is not a better rapper than BIG KRIT!!
