I can't see him not winning the belt this year.......or maybe that's the play as it's expected
I just don't think he cares enough at this point plus with him I doubt that he

1. Wants to beat Cody.

2. Wants to break Flair's record.

I honestly think he kind of checked out once they pushed Vince out. If Vince was still running things I'm sure both he and Brock would be around more.

Breh these dudes are about money, the idea that rock was trying to sabotage fukking WrestleMania to spite HHH from 30 fukking years ago and 2 careers ago because of the kliq is the most wrestling nerd bubble I've ever heard.

You on this muthafukka more than me and you calling somebody else a wrestling nerd :mjlol:

It is very funny they went from that turn angle at EC to 2 promos later Cena is Thanos trying to end wrestling for everyone. Dumb shyt. Only :leon:so far because the promos have been in front of mega hot crowds. Put this nonsense in front of guest host era Raw crowds and you wouldn't be able to find someone on the internet talking positively about it.

The big fat elephant in the room that everyone sees is the whole thing is forced and rushed. Should’ve just gave him the last victory lap he deserved. Didn’t need to swerve anything, he doesn’t have enough time to make his anticipated heel turn worth it.

The real elephant in the room is that John Cena is mid and has always been mid. 😆 and instead of the audience just enjoying it for what it is, people want to hype this up and compare it to hogan's heel turn, which is in a completely different stratosphere.

I agree that the entire purpose of Cena looking/acting the way he does is to elicit boos. He doesn't want any cheers at all. I think he's nailed that part of it.

The motivations behind his turn and his explanations thus far haven't really explained much. "I've hated you guys for years..." talking about the fans. Ok, cool. But let's talk about why now, why you turned on Cody, your alliance with The Rock... he hasn't spoke on any of that yet.

Then you have The Rock who isn't around at all.

make this harder than it had to be breh.

turn your only viable inring legacy babyface breh.
this was simple.
cena goes over Gunther.
jey takes on Cody. Then turns on cody reforming a new bloodline.

should never have booked:

Cody v Roman
over :
rock v Roman

plus a ruined female division. Plagued by black scorpion Quattro level bullshyt.

all cena had to do was come out.
dressed like right to censor.

at the very very least.

Instead,....we get this bullshyt and no legacy wwe baby face.
when a whole movie flopped from a cena is heel direction. To signal.
it was a bad move.

I had a few issues with the first promo, but overall, it got the point across and I was willing to give it a chance. Then he cuts the same promo a week later.

I don't think Cena believes what he's saying. It's like he's pretending to be a heel instead of embracing it. He literally sounds like he's forcing the words out of his mouth. At the core, every heel turn is justified. It makes sense within the story being told. Drew turned heel because he was tired of losing and refused to take responsibility for his failures. New Day turned heel because they felt like Big E wasn't committed to the group anymore and they wasted years of their career waiting for him to come back when that was never going to happen. Naomi turned heel because she felt like Jade wasn't deserving of her opportunities and was tired of being overlooked and disrespected.

Why is Cena heel? Because the fans made him upset? The John Cena I've been watching for seventeen years, the guy I've seen acknowledge the audience multiple times and how they treated him, wouldn't say what he's saying right now. If he turned in 2011/2012, his promos and justification would be more meaningful. He would have been the hottest heel in wrestling. Now, it just comes off like something he has to do right before he retires, so he knows what it feels like.

Triple H's booking is for the moment. You'll get big moments like SummerSlam last year or the Elimination Chamber, but the weekly shows and long-term storylines move at a snail's pace. You get these huge earth-shattering events and filler in between. Cena as a heel should be must-see TV every week. But you can tell he's not into it, and once they come back to America, the crowds here are going to recognize it and call it out.
You just described late 80’s and all 90’s wrestling. Storylines took forever to unfold, look at Bloodline. It was hot as fukk and then they had to dial it back, most of us aren’t even thinking “fukk is Roman doing”. Everything is time sensitive instead of it being immediate gratification and it makes a much better story.

Does Cena change everything up today…or does he do it at Wrestlemania. Cena walks out in different attire and a different entrance then it’s like :ohhh:

Hopefully this is what they’re thinking
